[Pov: Y/n]

It was late at night when I ran away from the laboratory and I have been on the run for two days now. It's the third day of me on the run, the guards from the lab had found me and are chasing after me.

As the moon hung low in the night sky, casting long shadows across the deserted streets, I raced through the city, my heart pounding in my chest. The adrenaline coursing through my veins gave me a burst of energy, allowing me to push myself to keep running despite the fatigue that had settled in my limbs. Every corner I turned, every alley I darted down, I could hear the distant echo of footsteps and the occasional shouted command from the pursuing guards. They were relentless, determined to bring me back to the laboratory from which I had escaped.

My mind raced along with my feet, frantically searching for a plan, an escape route, anything that would lead me away from the clutches of those who sought to imprison me once more. I knew I couldn't go back. The laboratory held secrets that were too dangerous, too powerful, and I couldn't allow them to fall into the wrong hands. My only option was to stay one step ahead, to outwit and outmaneuver my pursuers.

Gasping for breath, I stumbled into a narrow alleyway, hidden from the main road. I leaned against the cold brick wall, my chest heaving as I desperately tried to catch my breath. The sound of footsteps grew louder, closer. They were getting closer, and I needed to act fast. Glancing around, I spotted a rusty fire escape ladder leading up to the roof of a nearby building. Without hesitation, I lunged for it, my fingers gripping the rungs as I pulled myself up, my muscles screaming in protest.

I reached the rooftop just as the guards reached the alley. From my vantage point, I watched as they scanned the area, their flashlights cutting through the darkness. My heart raced, but a flicker of hope ignited within me. They hadn't spotted me yet. I couldn't afford to stay on the rooftop for long, though. I had to keep moving.

With cautious steps, I navigated the rooftops, leaping from one building to another. The city's labyrinthine layout became my ally as I weaved through the interconnected structures, always mindful of the edge beneath my feet. Time blurred, and the night seemed endless as I continued to evade my pursuers. It was a dangerous dance, a test of wits and endurance.

Hours turned into what felt like an eternity, and the first light of dawn began to paint the sky with hues of pink and gold. I decided to head into the forest at the outskirts of the city. My movements were cautious, my ears attuned to every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs. The ground beneath me was soft and mossy, muffling my footsteps.

I pushed deeper into the woods, my senses on high alert, looking for a place to rest and gather my thoughts. After a while, I stumbled upon a small clearing. A natural stream trickled through it, its gentle babble a soothing contrast to the tension that had been gripping me.

As I'm walking I seemed to have stepped on a big rock. I pick it up and on further inspection, the rock look to be a big crystal of a inky black colour. A faint whisper seemed to echo in the back of my mind. It was almost as if the crystal was communicating with me, its voice a soft susurrus of thoughts that I couldn't quite grasp. The sensation was eerie yet intriguing, drawing me closer to the enigmatic object in my hand.

I bring the crystal up to my face to get a closer look at it but as I do that, the crystal cracks open and a black ink covered claw emerges from the crystal. Before I can react, the claw shoots upwards and stabs my right eye and it feels as if it is injecting something into my eye.

Pain seared through me, radiating from the point of impact as the claw penetrated my eye. My scream echoed through the glade as I instinctively recoiled, desperately trying to free myself from the horrifying grip of the crystal's unexpected transformation. The ink-covered claw was both surreal and terrifying, a intrusion that defied all reason. My world was consumed by agony and disorientation.

I fall to the ground, my vision becoming blurry. After a few seconds my vision returns and I slowly sit up. I head over to a near by pond and look at my refection, seeing a mixture of blood and ink running down from my right eye. I grab my (f/c) bag I took with me and dig trough it looking for something to cover my eye.

Soon I find a dark grey cloth at the bottom of my bag. I fish it out and tie it over my eye. Suddenly I hear the sound of hoofs approving. I look towards the sound to see horse pulling a black carriage with a coffin inside. Before I can do anything, my vision goes black and I pass out.
