Chapter 1 (Morning, Eclipse Lake)

Ashley and her mother, Grace Johnson had just moved into a very big apartment in Indianapolis. Ashley's father had passed away from being in the war back in 1990 when she was only a baby but now, she's in high school. Grace lost her job right after her husband died. Ashley's father's name is Henry Johnson. Henry was a happy man but right after he heard about everything going on he decided to join the war and sadly passed away from a grenade going off by him in an accident while testing the bombs/ weapons. The only things that he left for Grace and Ashley was enough money to get an apartment and pay the bills and buy some food. Now it's 2006 Ashley was waking up to get ready for school. While she was walking to the bathroom to brush her teeth, she saw something running in the hall and disappearing, she thought that she was just still halfway asleep, she just walked to the bathroom and didn't really mind what she just saw she hasn't really met any of the neighbors or introduced herself, but she did think to herself "Hey I should introduce myself to the neighbors!" She was excited to do that after school. Her mother was still asleep. Whatever mom needs the rest she's always working late Ashley said to herself quietly. She was ready for school. She was wearing black jeans and gray long sleeves with a chain on the left side of her leg, with some black & white vans. Before she left, she looked out the window just to see beautiful monarch butterflies and crickets, she smiled but then she left to go to school. She took the elevator from the seventh floor to the first floor. The elevator was old, so the elevator was very slow while coming down but going up is very fast. The owner of the apartment Mr. Aron loved this apartment because his family built it but they sadly passed away. Mr. Aron is 39 years old, the only way he copes with his family's passing is by staying in his room because of how his family got sick from Mono. As Ashley was walking on the first floor, she saw the metal head that goes to her high school everyone knew his name Asher Rogers. He was always called "the freak or the weird kid" but really, he was awesome. I think I might talk to him and introduce myself, Ashley said to herself quietly. She walked outside but there was something wrong. The air didn't smell like the cherry blossoms, it smelled like something burning. She looked around and saw how everything was distorted. The town looked different until... Hey you, ok? Asked someone Huh oh yeah, I'm fine- said Ashely, but then she knew who it was Asher the "freak". Oh well um wanna walk to the bus stop together? Ashley asked. Oh, um sure! Asher said with excitement. So, what's your name? Asher asked. Ashley Johnson Ashley said with a calm tone. Woah cool name like the actress Ashley Benson who was in Pretty Little Liars! Asher said with a happy tone. Yeah, actually my mom loves that actress Ashley said very calmly. Oh, hey we arrived at the bus stop! Ashley said with relief. Oh, ok Asher said with a confused tone. The bus arrived after 10 minutes. Oh, the bus is here Ashley said with a surprised but happy tone. They both got on the bus and sat together. Everyone started to throw paper with notes inside saying "fag" or "weirdo". Asher didn't really care, but Ashley got mad and yelled "Can you just not make fun of him you guys are idiots he did nothing wrong to deserve this!" One of the boys said sarcastically "oh I'm sorry... that he's a "FREAK" Hey he's NOT a freak he's an awesome guy! Ashley said angrily. Oh, so you're protecting him now, well I guess you're a FREAK as well. Ashley sat there in complete silence and then someone stood up. It was Ashley's older brother who went missing for 2 whole months staying at Ashleys aunt Mimi's house (which was a little ways down from the apartment) Hey Ash...
