He went straight to Ellie, he sat on the chair beside Ellie's bed. He never greets me. He passed by in front of me like I was a ghost he didn't see.

"Ellie, what happened to you? Why you are full of that cast? You've been asleep for more than 3days now? You must wake up!"

"You hear me? Please wake up. Open your eyes. I thought you were strong, why do you look miserable now... Only if I know that I will see you again in this condition, I regret giving you that advice... I should have not given way, I should have kept you forever," Ivan

I want to punch Ivan when I hear what he said, but I don't have any right.

"It was all my fault that I convinced you to go back to the Philippines ... Most likely when you stayed in Belgium, now you are still the bubbly and full of energy Ellie... You're feisty but you are sweet... I miss you being that, But now, you are almost dead... I hate to see you like this... I accepted my fate, I will be happy if I see you happy even in others' arms. I will be happy seeing you laugh even if I am not the reason. But to see you like this, it's killing me... So wake up!" Ivan said

"Ivan, I am sorry,"

"If you are sorry can bring back my best friend's life in its blooming state, wonderful... But if not, keep your sorry to yourself," Ivan replied

"Why? Are you happy seeing Ellie suffering? You find fulfillment when she's miserable?" He asked me furious

"Don't say that!" I answered

"Then what?" Ivan 

"Not once, not twice... How many times do you want to see Ellie suffering? What had she done to you that you are that cruel to her? Is that the way you love? You promise her heaven but you brought her to hell?" Ivan added

"I want to break your bones... Let us see each other somewhere that we can release our anger...!" Ivan

"You're heartless! Why not let her go if you don't love her anymore? Why jail him in your marriage bond? You are blessed you have a faithful wife, she upholds the value of your marriage," Ivan said gritting.

We heard a knock on the door, and Doc Mondragon entered.

"How's the patient?" Doc Mondragon

"Still asleep," I said

"Like me, you are a medical doctor, too. Since Ellie didn't regain consciousness until now, I declare her in a state of coma... I cannot say when will she wake up... But don't lose hope, my wife Alyza slept for 6 months... Tender love and care made her wake up and of course the grace of our lord and medicines. If ever Ellie wakes up since she got a head injury, she might have amnesia...it can be partial, or total... Still, don't lose hope... Again, my wife Alyza was in a state of amnesia for almost 10 years, but she gained her memory back,"

"I know, doc," I answered

"For now, I don't know anymore... But I am willing to visit her if you allow me, every weekend, at my wife's request. Ellie and Alyza have built their bond, they share something in common," Doc Mondragon

"Since you have your hospital, it is now safe to travel Ellie, it will be convenient and comfortable for you if she is in your hospital... My hospital and yours are not in any way less than the other... You have your resident neurologist and neurosurgeon, they are brilliant in the field too...but if ever you need my opinion and expertise, I am a phone away," Doc Mondragon

"Thank you," I answered

"So, I may leave now... I have my rounds," Doc Mondragon

"Ivan, again, I am sorry... If you wish, you can go with us... You're welcome in my house, anytime," I said

"After an hour, my ambulance will arrive, I will transfer Ellie to my hospital," I said

"I won't refuse, I will go with you ...but I will not be sorry for what I have said...I am sincere with my words! For now, I hate you!" Ivan

"You're inviting me into your house ... To easily kill me...?" Iban grinned.

"You're a fool!" I said

Ivan didn't answer back...He keeps on squeezing Ellie's fingers.

"You wake up, you told me you will visit Belgium to see the flower garden... the  flower garden in Belgium is now in bloom, you can pick as many as you can...you love flowers, right?" Ivan said to Ellie

"You wake up, I miss your voice, we will sing our favorite song... We will dance our favorite steps... But how could we if you're asleep?"
