You were on your way to #######, and you'd just finished cleaning the ship's deck. You stepped back and looked at the beauty of a ship you were stationed on. Umi no zaison, The Property of The Sea, the best fishing ship in all of the Japanese sea. It was just perfect. Captain Aiko had it built in 1998, 2 years before you were born. You began walking to your cabin. Whilst walking down the you bumped into Takamoto, Takamoto Kotaru,

"L/N," she said

"What?" you replied, slightly tilting my head,

"The Captain wants to see you kid," she responded teasingly, if weather could describe a person's personality she would be a hot summer's day with a light cold breeze drifting through so you don't overheat, perfect, trusting, the person you never new you needed. She was the closest thing you had to a mother after yours abandoned you, and you respected her for that.

"I'll go port side after I've changed and meet him there," you replied, slightly opening my door to my cabin, indicating that you wanted her to leave

"I'll tell Captain where you'll be," she responded quickly before she hurried away to let you get changed.

You hastily walked to your cabin, opened the door, and got your uniform on. It was old, used to be Shiro's... your mood went down as you thought about your brother. The brother you so dearly missed. He dissappeared one day when the ship was at shore, no one knows where he went and where he is now... only you know your parents greived enough to kill themselves and abandon you..... you tried to recall your past beyond that, but it just faded into a mix of dates and glimpses of people faces.

You snapped out of your trance and started putting on your trousers and shirt on. Once you'd gotten dressed, you stepped out of the cabin and walked towards the port side

As you searched around for the Captain on deck, you saw him looking far out at sea, resting his arms on the railing as he looked intently at the waves. You stationed yourself next to him, copying his positioning before looking his way,

"Such a calm sea," he spoke, still focusing on the body of water below him,

"I must agree with you, Sir, it looks stunning," you replied, looking in awe at the dancing of blue waves

"Drop the formalities, you do remind me of your brother L/N, your brother wouldn't drop the 'Sirs' or 'Captains' either," Captain replied

Your body tensed at the sound of "your brother" but soon relaxed due to the calming atmosphere,

"You know he was a good kid. He always did what he was told. Loyal he was, a value good people need," Captain continued,

"Until he ran away," you finished

"Something tells me that tonight won't go well. The weather is calling its downfall upon us," Captain said, quickly changing the subject as he realised that you were getting upset,

"I get that too," you replied

Captain stood up from his slouch and readjusted his uniform before saying,

"I need to attend a meeting, I'll see you tonight when you're on your patrol," he hastily left toward the main area of the ship, leaving you by yourself

You sat down on a bench not too far away and thought about what Captain had said,

"WAIT, I'M DOING PATROL!!!???" You yelled loud enough for the rest of the ship to hear.

I literally asked my friend for an Idea 💡 and she said kidnapping, then I searched up synonyms it came up with Shanghaied and then I clicked on a random place on a world map and KABOOM 💥🤯🤯 a story was written.

It was really funny though because I had a cover last period at school and I had a really questionable PE teacher who asked me what I was doing and I told him I was writing a book and he was like asking me a while flipping questionnaire on it 😂😂🤣🤣😅😅😭😭
