Gwen and Miles (the best babysitters)

How it all started

Gwen and Miles were talking about some random stuff they usually talk about when suddenly Peter showed up. With a baby. "What the..." whispered Miles. "Hey kids!" Said Peter, "uhm... Peter? Is that a..." Gwen said while pointing to the baby in his hands. "Yep! I got a baby!" "That's great Peter!" Miles said "yeah awesome!" Said Gwen. Gwen never saw Peter as the parent type but at the same time... it kinda made sense. "Her name is Mayday and y'all should get to know her" Peter said throwing Mayday to Gwen and Miles "while I go look through the fridge" Peter mumbled. Thankfully Miles caught Mayday, Gwen looked surprised still taking in everything but they looked at each other and laughed.

Gwen pov:
I am in shock. Not even gonna lie Miles looks nice with a baby, he would make a good dad...
I love kids, if they don't annoy me. I want kids when I'm older too maybe with... NOPE! NO
Jeez Gwen chill. I look at Miles and we laugh, I love his smile it's so bright and warm- ok seriously?! "So her name is Mayday huh" I say to distract my thoughts, "yea I guess" He sets her down on the floor and we sit next to her. "I don't know how to hang out with a baby" Miles says. "Ha, you never took care of one?" I ask "No" he replies "well I mean you can play with her" I suggest "how" he asks "wow you really don't know how to take care of a baby" I joke. He laughs. Thankfully. "Why don't we tryyy... oh! Peekaboo!" I say "sure I guess how do we do that?" I give him a look and he says "no I know what it is just I'm better at doing things the way I'm told to..." "ok you cover her eyes and I'll be here and suddenly just open them and I'll say peekaboo, ok?" He nods. He closes her yes and he's very gentle it gives me butterflies... "oh no where did Gwen go?" He says slightly higher in his voice. I try not to laugh and Mayday looks confused, trying to look around. I give him a thumbs up and he opens his hands, "peekaboo!" I say "there she is!" Miles says laughing Mayday laughs and looks like she's having a good time.

Miles pov:
This is really fun especially since it's with Gwen. "Ooh can I try next?" I ask excitedly Gwen laughs "sure gimme Mayday" she says.
We repeat it a couple of times and get carried away and I'm carrying her making airplane noises, Mayday is in my hands and I put them high up and I go "wooshhh" she's laughing and giggling. I kinda want kids when I'm older. I look down at Gwen who is laughing and it gives me butterflies. She sure is really pretty. I put Mayday down and I ask what she wants to do next. She says " towy! towy!" Gwen says "a story? Ok do we have any here?" Mayday points to a backpack on the floor and we find a picture book in there. "Huh this must be a bag that Peter brought in here" I say. We go back to the floor and snuggle up with Mayday in between us. We read a few pages and Peter comes in. "Hey kids! I see you've been enjoying time with Mayday!" "Yeah! We are!" Responds Gwen. "Wellll I was wondering... if you guys wanted to become Maydays amazing babysitters!!" We look at each other. "Sure" we say at the same time.

Gwen's pov:
"Great! Are you guys free in two days?" Asked Peter. I think I am I had plans with my band but I can just cancel, they're probably gonna make me talk about my feelings anyways. " I'm free" says Miles "same" I say. "Great but can you guys maybe bring her to your dimensions because I can't at mine" Peter says "I can't my parent will be there"says Miles. I don't think my dad will be home then. " we can take her to mine" I say " great then it's settled! I'll text you the details on your watches later. See you soon!" Says Peter, he takes mayday, opens a portal and hops through. "What just happened" we say in unison.
