"Gimme that, nee-san!" the child ran "Come and get me then!" the kids laughed. The younger one tripped, and all the laughing stopped "Tenshi are you ok?!" their older sister ran to them "Get tricked!" the young child snatches the apple from their sister's gloved hand and runs "Unfair!" she laughs and runs after them.
The siblings run through the crowded streets of the town, running past the stands while grabbing whatever they can from the stalls and pickpocketing citizens. "Hey! Get back here you thieves!" a man yells, the older sibling winks and sticks their tongue out at him, while holding onto their long coat "Sorry not sorry!" the kids dash to an alley "Go go go! They're gonna catch up!" the little kid climbs as fast as they can up the ladder. They balance themselves on the wall and start crawling to the roof of one of the restaurants. A small tent hidden behind the sign sits, while the kids jump onto the roof and sigh "I hate that guy, always scolding us" she laughs "Too bad he's all bark no bite, he'll never be able to outrun the speedy Shukudo Hoshino!" Hoshino wraps her arm around their sibling "And they'll never catch my sneaky lil sibling, Shukudo Tenshi!" the two chuckle once more. Hoshino sighs, her laughter fading away while she looks up into the sunset sky "This won't do, will it?..." Tenshi turns to her "Huh?" Hoshino shakes her head "Nothing" It gets silent. Tenshi quietly fidgets the apple "You can have this back nee-san" Hoshino's eyebrows rise "No, keep it Tenshi, I got some food with me anyway" She grabs a peach from her haori and tosses it into the air, barely catching it on time, Tenshi giggles munching on their apple "Hey, nee-san," the older sister raises an eyebrow "Is it true stars can create shapes?" they look in their sack back next to them and pulls out a book "Is it also true mama and papa gave us this book?". Hoshino looks down and sighs, "Well..." she paused, her little sibling eagerly facing her "Wanna go somewhere?" Hoshino smiles, the younger of the pair nodded, and they rise along with their sister "I think I know a place that might answer that question".
A few hours passed, and the moon shined along with the countless stars. "Nee-san look!" Tenshi points to the sky, stopping Hoshino in her tracks, she looks up into the sky, the stars glittered through the midnight. "Nee-san let's make a promise to the stars!" Hoshino smiles as she nods "I promise the stars that I will always love my nee-san and always help her get food!" the girl laughs, adjusting her hood as she speaks her promise. She ushers them to continue their journey up the mountain. Another hour passes "Are we there yet nee-san?" they held onto their sister's hand, which was oddly cold "Yeah don't worry" The moonlit heavens were a large contrast to the dark looming trees and cold air that suffocated Tenshi. Nonetheless, they were safe, they were with their sister after all, and their sister would protect them as long as they held onto her. "Are you okay? You're shivering" The girl looks down at their little sibling "I... I'm kinda scared" they laugh "We're almost there, it's just right around here" she turns to the left. They arrive, and there was a house, a small rundown house, the roof was falling apart, walls filled with cracks, and an abnormal smell that spread like a disease, Tenshi stared at the house, clutching onto their sister's arm "Now close your eyes, I have a surprise" Hoshino faces Tenshi, they hesitate but end up complying, covering their eyes with one palm. "Alright just hold my hand and follow me" Tenshi gulped, tightly grabbing their older sister's hand. The girl leads them closer to the house. A minute passes, and Hoshino lets go of their hand as soon as they reached the house "Alright open your eyes" Tenshi reluctantly removes their palm, the stars in the sky were even brighter than before. Tenshi traces their finger onto 3 stars "Nee-san, I think I see a shape!" Hoshino laughs "It's called a constellation, and that one you're looking at has a name" Tenshi awed "What's it called?" Tenshi tilts their head with a big grin, Hoshino walks to face her sibling, kneeling.
