STURNIOLO HOUSEHOLD. MONDAY NIGHT.

"i can't believe chris isn't home yet," nick said as he walked into the kitchen where matt had been eating leftovers from the previous night.

matt looked up from his phone, shooting his brother a concerned look, "it's almost midnight and it's a school night," he immediately got off his seat, "he's never been out this late."

nick nodded in agreement, he went on his phone to text one of their best friends, Nate, to see if he had any knowledge about chris. the brothers started to get worried about where chris was, no matter how far gone it seemed, he always was back in time before anybody in their family was concerned.

"yeah, nate said he might be at at dominic's place," nick told matt, who instantly went to grab his keys, "i do not fuck with that guy, he's made things so much worse for chris."

"whatever, let's just go get him." matt replied as he headed for the front door, nick grabbed a half empty bottle of ibuprofen and a bottle of water before following matt to the car.

as matt began driving towards dominic's house, nick continued to ring chris in hopes that he would eventually answer but the calls kept going straight to voicemail.

the two sat in silence for the majority of the car ride, causing nick to brew up some ideas. he was desperate for anything in order to help his brother. their parents have lost all hope and nick sensed that matt was losing hope for their other brother.

he searched in his mind for anything that could help chris, he went onto his phone to scroll through his camera roll.

a notification popped up, from the last person he expected. bianca silva, the friendly girl he had just met earlier in the day. he read the text to himself and slightly laughed.

the text read off: hey nick, its bianca. or b, u can call me that, sorry for the late text but im just used to people ghosting me during projects lol. sry if it's too soon to tell u that. see you guys tmrw.

the odd text from the girl sparked an idea, "hey matt," nick spoke. matt hummed in response, "i was thinking about how we could help chris."

"chain him to his bed once we get out of school?" matt replied, nick hesitated before continuing. "i was kidding." matt remarked.

nick nodded, "no, yes i know. how about we set him up with somebody," he suggested, "someone who'd be a good influence on him!" matt shot him a weird look, clearly not catching on to where nick was going.

"okay, we could, i dunno, hire somebody– a girl, to almost help change his ways." that sentence sounded unreal to matt, "nick, do you understand how insane you sound?"

"all i'm saying is, we have a hold on the student body." he started, "if we ask the right girl and pay her for everything, we convince her to get chris to stray away from dom's crowd."

matt shook his head, "nobody is able to distract chris from dom's crowd, the drinking, smoking, sneaking out, or partying."

"bianca silva."

matt stopped at the red light and looked at his brother again, "who?"

nick gave him a blank stare, "the girl from our science class, curly hair? we've been at the same schools as her our entire lives?" matt finally remembered who nick was talking about and looked back towards the road as he recollected the events from earlier.

"no offense nick but she doesn't seem like the type that would distract chris." matt stated, for some reason it offended nick way more than it should've.

"are you blind?' he questioned, "don't get me wrong she's good looking, but i'm talking about social status." matt defended, "wouldn't we want someone who a lot of people know?"

nick rolled his eyes, "that's why she's perfect, nobody would question anything. especially her motives." matt stayed silent, really thinking about the pros and cons.

"so we are going to pay, in this case, bianca, to basically seduce our brother into changing his terrible lifestyle?" matt asked.

"matt, when you say it like that it makes it seem really bad." nick defensively said, "all i'm saying is that i'll draft up a contract thing and we can show her tomorrow. we have the funds to help her do all these things with chris."

"i'm down," matt finally agreed, "but what if chris isn't looking for anybody right now?"

nick sighed, "no more questions, we're almost there."

the boys eventually reached the house, to their surprise there were still a lot of cars in front of the house. matt parked a few houses down before they got out to go look for their brother.

once they reached the entrance they were greeted by a group of teens who had obviously greened out, making the two boys hesitate to walk in.

dominic's house was nothing simple, since he lived in the same neighborhood as the sturniolos's it was safe to say the house was extravagant. the only difference was his house had a guest home, which was usually used for his infamous parties.

as the two walked around the party together, it reeked of who knows what. the boys continued throughout the house.

they reached the backyard and walked over to another group of people who surrounded a bonfire, "seriously, do none of these people have parents?" nick mumbled, matt swatted his chest. "shut up, nick"

"chris!" nick yelled, causing the group to turn their heads.

one person in particular stood up, chris. he waved his brother over and as they neared him they could tell he was clearly intoxicated. the two looked at each other before they attempted to get him home.

it was going to be a long night, all nick and matt hoped for before the night ended was that bianca would hear them out and agreed to one of the craziest things they had come up with.
