Somewhere in the depths of the Polynesian sea on an uncharted map in unmapped territory exists another world far removed from the world of man.

Creatures large and small, some with two legs and others with fifteen and even more with too many to count, skitter along the sand crevices, natural ravines, and coral formations. More creatures swim with neither legs nor fins and spiral in the canyons above, swirling like dervishes into the night.

Everything, absolutely everything, glows: the devilish and the deities and the demonic all glow alongside bioluminescent fauna. Menacing mystery lurks around every corner. Nowhere is safe.

This is the realm of monsters, the world of slime, the arena of nightmares.

This is Lalotai.

For this occasion, the ballroom will be closed-door and closed-window with hidden black lights, white crepe streamers, and all abstraction of papier-mâché figures. Surrounded by the hulking glows, guests will feel instantly transported to this magical place where only gods and demigods have set foot.

Stick to the center of the room where the central dance floor sits and feel safe, or wander to the outer edges and explore those sharp, dark corners. It is a guest's choice of adventure as he so chooses, moving between dance and open seating tables.

Musically colored undertones of drums and horns ring sporadically throughout the background as in a rhythmic white noise, providing a steady beat for dance and evoking a murky melody of the things that bump in the night.

Pairing well with the Lalotai environment are assorted platters of seafood, salads, and meat-vegetable skewers.

Mixed concoctions of tonic water swirls with vodka, rum, and gin pulse for those guests who imbibe in alcohol while nonalcoholic beverages of tonic-watered grape juices and carbonated fruit-flavored water sparkle for those guests without a taste for it.
