Chapter one:

When I was five, I watched my parents get killed. I saw the killer rip them limb from limb and she sucked their blood with her teeth. At least, that is what I thought I saw. When I tried to tell that to the police, they said I was suffering from grief and post traumatic stress. I know what I saw. I remembered her face. Their murderer was a woman that lived in the woods in front of our house. She got away with it, and she knew I had seen, yet she let me live. Before she left me, she said that I was meant for bigger things, and that I was already chosen. At that age, I had no idea what that meant. But I had a feeling I was going to find out soon.

“Are you going to Lana’s sleepover tomorrow?”

“Yeah Amber.” I said as I tossed a box of noodles into the cart. I was at a grocery store with my room mate amber.

“I think she is a major slut though. I don’t know if I can go, it is way too much to put up with.” she said as she threw a bag of chips into the cart. “But then again. Eric is going to be there, so I might as well go.”

“You should. I cant go by myself.” I said. I threw lasagna sauce into the cart along with a package of mozzarella cheese. “And of course Eric is going to be there, he is her brother.”

“I know. But he makes me so... nervous and shy.” she said as she grabbed a pack of cookies. “He is so hot.”

“I guess so.” I said sighing. I grabbed more ingredients and added them to the cart.

“Whoa. Who is that lady staring at you?” she whispered to me. I turned around to see who she was referring to. Then that is when I saw her, the woman who killed my parents. She was just as pale as I remembered her. She smiled at me and then waved. Amber continued to search through the aisle, but I was frozen in place. The lady turned and then whispered to the man beside her. He turned and then looked me up and down. A wide grin spread across his face. He whispered something back and she giggled. He was as pale as she was. And his eyes were the same silver color. He had dark hair, but she had light. He turned back to me, and winked. I heard Amber call me from the next aisle and I turned to catch up with her.

“uh yeah. Here is my number. You and your friend should meet up with us some time.” she said. I saw that she was talking to two guys. “Hold on. I think she is coming.”

I walked up to her and then pulled my blonde hair out of the way. They were both pale ones like the lady and the man I had seen previously. They looked at me in shock, but then they started to adjust their hair. They both approached me, completely forgetting about Amber.

“here is my number.” they both said simultaneously, as they handed me two sheets of paper. “Call anytime you want.”

“Okay.” I said as I took the papers. I put them in my back pocket and then turned back to Amber. She was smiling.

“Did you get everything?” I asked amber as we walked up to the clerk. She nodded. After we paid for everything we sat out on the bench waiting for Adam, Amber's brother to pick us up. I had my car in the shop, the battery died. And Amber lent hers to Eric.

“where is he?” Amber asked pacing. “He wont answer his cell.”

“This totally blows.” I said sighing.

I noticed that the two guys were walking up to us.

“Do you two want a ride home?” the first one asked. “My name is James, and this is Cameron.”
