For being a 13 year old I moved too much for my age. I was originally born in Derry, Main up until the ripe age of 9, I then had to move, the first time, due to a close family member's death. My close friends, now ex-friends, Henry Bowers and Patrick Hockstetter, both wished me dead before I left Derry, my siblings were not all too happy to hear that my only friends wished death upon me before leaving. After we left Main we moved to California. I only made two friends, with a Casanova, named Billy Hargrove and his step-sister Maxine (Max) Mayfield. I stayed in California for 3 years going on 4, I just hoped that nothing went wrong with my eldest brother's, Blake, housing situation. But sadly he couldn't get the housing situation going in California so we had to move again, but before we left California I  had to say good-bye again, I was more worried about how Billy, and Max, would take me leaving. On my way to their house I mentally went through every worse case scenario possible for me such as; Billy and Max slamming the door in my face, them getting verbal and yelling at me, or a repeat of the first move and they both wish death upon me.

I hadn't realized that I knocked on the front door already and sat on the porch with my legs stretched out in front of the set of stairs, while still mentally going through worse case scenarios. As I kept thinking I felt my breathing start to become irregular, and my chest felt like it was about to tighten, at this point I knew that I was about to have a panic attack. I was about to stand up and walk back to where my siblings were, but I couldn't because my legs felt numb. I then heard their front door open, and standing in the door frame stood Billy, and Max, with a slight look of confusion on their faces, because I would usually, no matter what mood I'm in, walk inside unannounced, but this time was different. Max immediately knew what was wrong, so she grabbed Billy and whispered something in his ear then after that he rushed over to my side while Max ran back inside.

"Don't focus on Max," Billy said, while trying to keep my attention on him, "focus on me Jodie." He says, as my eyes finally snap over to look into his eyes. "Okay now that I have your attention, what color are my eyes Jodie?" He questioned me more than once, each time he asked the same question I took a deep breath and kept trying to answer the question at hand.

Then after what felt like forever of deep breathing and repetitive question asking, I finally said, "blue, your eyes are blue." He hugged me tightly then immediately held me at arms length and said, "that's not a 'Jodie' answer." He smirked wildly, knowing what a 'Jodie' answer is.

I was about to decide against giving a 'Jodie' answer, then I thought 'what's one last time', and with that I pushed my glasses up the bridge of my nose, quickly stood up and dramatically fell to the ground, "water, I need water," I fake gasp and cough, "You," I  point to Billy who was sitting on the stairs with a look of fake confusion on his face, "yes, your eyes are blue, much brighter than the ocean, so you must have water." I start crawling towards him, still acting dramatically, I scramble up the stairs and sat on his lap facing him and looking him dead in the eyes then say, "oh no, I was wrong," I hold his face to look deeper into his eyes, "your eyes aren't just blue, the gods themselves must have plucked stars out of the cosmos to create these absolutely perfect blue eyes." I try my hardest to stay in my dramatic act, but Billy is making it hard because he took my sandal off of my right foot and purposely started to tickle my foot. Since I couldn't get the rest of my 'Jodie' answer out. I tried to hold back my laughter, I could only try biting my tongue then, I tried to bite my lower lip to contain my laughter. Billy knew that I was trying to stay serious so he held my foot still and used his free hand to attack my bare foot.

Max then came out of the house to see Billy holding my leg down and tickle-attacking my foot, "so this is what I heard besides something being thrown on the porch," She stated with her hands on her hips.

"Max help," I say in between laughter, for a second she thought about helping me, then she joined Billy in the tickle-attack, "traitor!" I laughed wildly.
