"Do you know how much I hate stalkers? Even if you are a pretty girl I'm not interested"
He said now with a look of annoyance that could kill.
Did he just call me pretty?
"I'm serious... I've been patient with you, but there is a limit to my patience.
Did I make myself clear?"
"I-I..."
She looked away embarrassed, feeling herself blushing.
She then nodded quickly.
"...I didn't think you would go quiet so quickly"
Miguel told more to himself.
"I hope you are not thinking of anything stupid, understand?
You don't wanna push me to the edge and see what happens"
His face was back to his usual annoyed expression.
"I'm serious, kid.
Tell me what you want with me, or I won't be patient for much longer"
He looked at her in the eyes, his cold gaze piercing through her soul.
But Stacy could only think about one thing.
He could never really hurt her. She remained silent looking down but being happy and feeling butterflies inside her stomach because of this meeting.
In front of her silence, Miguel growled.
"...Stupid little girl, that's how you get yourself in trouble in this city"
Stacy still looked down ashamed.
Miguel looked carefully at her.
She didn't appear to be more than 20 years old.
She was indeed beautiful but seemed to have understood nothing of what he had told her and of what he was trying to explain her.
He had to change his strategy.
"Dios mío..."
He mumbled to himself trying to keep looking at her in a strict way, despite her beauty.
"Look at me"
Stacy slowly raised her gaze, looking at him with her two pure blue eyes.
Spiderman was so close to her.
She could only look at him by holding her head high because of his height.
Under the mask Miguel's annoyed look quickly faded away as he looked into her eyes.
"You are very pretty, Stacy"
He said softly.
Stacy could not move, she felt petrified.
God, she didn't even want to move.
He stepped closer to her, still looking at her with a look of approval.
"I bet you get a lot of guys after you, don't you?"
She couldn't see under the mask but she could feel like he was smiling under that.
Stacy's cheeks reddened but she couldn't stop looking at him.
She shook her head quickly embarrassed.
"No sir...not really..."
She quickly lowered her gaze and then raised it again, thinking back with shame and sorrow of all those times she had seen her schoolmates being courted and invited out on dates.
No one had ever looked at her like that. No one had ever asked her out.
She heard him chuckled.
"Let me guess... most of the time you go unnoticed
because you are too shy to speak"
Stacy saw and then felt his hand on her right cheek, his claws now gone.
He touched her cheek with a soft motion.
Stacy felt herself blushing even more.
She also felt as if she was about to faint at his touch.
She nodded shyly.
"It's okay"
He said, now speaking with an even soft and kind voice.
"You are pretty enough for guys to feel too intimidated to talk to you.
I bet you are a very interesting girl, isn't it?"
"Sir...I..."
She was too stunned to speak.
