One peaceful night, on an ordinary day. A mother was putting her daughter to sleep.

"Alright maymay, time for you to sleep."

"But mum! What about the story! You always tell me a story!"

"Oh, I know honey. It's just- I'm a bit tired." She fake yawned.

"It's because daddy doesn't like your stories isn't it?" She frowned.

"No honey." She lifted mays covers.

May fluttered her eyes at her mother rapidly.

"Okay, fine." She laughed. She cleared her voice.

"Once apon a time, there was a young princess who was to be married to a big mean prince-"

"Booo!" May whispered.

Her mother shook her head lovingly.

"On her wedding day, she felt like something was calling her."

Young may gasped. "What was calling her mummy?"

"Let me finish." She pinched mays nose.

She giggled.

"The window was open in her room so she ran away-"

"And?" Little may shot up in suspense.

"Aaand she..." her mother looked around the room quickly and saw her daughters favorite hat. "And became a pirate."

"Whoa... is it that easy?"

"Oh I don't know sweetheart, it's just a story." She brushed the hair off mays face.

"Alright maymay, sleep well."

"You too mummy....mum?"

"Don't worry I'll keep the candle lit."

"That's not what I meant...thank you... but mum when I'm older...can we be pirates together?"

"Honey, if you become a pirate I will be proud. And if you don't, I'll still be proud because it's my little maymay."

May smiled cheerfully.

As her mother closed the door she was greeted by her husband's stern face.

"Pirates again? Seriously?"

"She likes pirates. What do you want from me?"

"Maybe don't raise our daughter to be a failure in society?"

"How will she be a failure? She allowed to like things."

"Not those disgusting pirates she can't."

They whisper shout at eachother.

This was an ordinary day in this family.

Her mother tried to make Mays childhood as colourful and loving as much as she could. But she's only human and humans don't live forever.

while may was only 16 her mother got sick. she spend her mothers last days by reading and stargazing with her. she had to grow up into a sensible lady for her father but in her heart she'll always be her mothers daughter.

Sadly the sickness took over her mother. She was lucky enough to be there with her.

her mother looked out the window. She caught a glimpse of the night sky. "maymay help me up dear." may put her book down and helped lift her mother up. "help me to the chair." she sat at the edge of the chair and looked out at the sky.

suddenly the stars fell making it look like glittery rain.

"whoa" mays eyes sparkle with the stars reflecting the sky. "its beautiful." she turned to her mother, who was looking out sombrely out the window. "may...you know, you were born on a night like this." she smiled.
