"There is something fundamentally wrong with you." Rebekah smirked as she stood up from her seat. "Brin, do you still want that pink dress I was telling you about?"

"The silk one with flowers?" Brinley asked taking a drink of her orange juice

"Yes that's the one." Rebekah nodded looking down at her phone

"Yea I do. Might want to get me a size bigger. These two are growing like crazy." Brinley said leaning back in her chair to clutch her growing bump

"Alright, I'll drop it off to you later." Rebekah said before giving Klaus a glare and leaving

"That went well." Klaus scoffed sarcastically

"More food for us." Brinley shrugged offering her fork with a pancake on the end off it to the hybrid

"Right you are love. Right you are." Klaus chuckled leaning forward to bite the piece

A little while later and Brinley was bored out of her mind without Hayley, Elijah, or Rebekah to keep her company when Klaus is busy, much like he is right now as he's sitting in his study with Camille, Brinley's met her a couple of times and each time the blonde had been nothing but nice to her.

Apparently she has a degree in psychology, despite her job as a bartender, and Brinley suggested to Klaus that maybe it would do him some good to talk to someone. Someone other than her or his siblings about his troubles, not that she cares to hear about them, but sometimes it's easier to talk to strangers than it is to talk to those you're close to.

Klaus reluctantly agreed but insisted that the only way he'd go through with it is if Brinley stayed with them. So now she's laying across the surprisingly comfortable couch in Klaus's study watching as he paces around the small room nursing a glass of bourbon reciting his memoirs while Cami sits at the table typing the words he says on a typewriter.

"They have all forsaken me. My siblings are as deceitful in disease just as my parents ever were. Accusing me of using my babies for my own gain, of tossing the woman I care for aside, and trusting others before their own blood." Klaus spoke

"Would a laptop kill you?" Cami asked looking up at the hybrid with a glare making Brinley chuckle

"It is kinda old fashioned. And it takes forever, poor Cami's going to become a hunch back before too long." Brinley said giving Cami an amused smile making the blonde nod in agreement

"Thank you!" Cami gestured to Brinley and Klaus rolled his eyes at their dramatics

"That typewriter was good enough for Hemingway." Klaus scoffed

"I see the resemblance. Booze and random acts of violence." Cami mumbled

"Elijah and Rebekah have cut to the quick with their vicious lies about me. And all I've done is tried to win this battle of wills over Marcel's control of the Quarter in order to reclaim our home. To create a safe and loving environment for mine and Brinley's children." Klaus said making Brinley smile softly at his words and rub her hand over her growing bump, Klaus must've noticed that Cami had stopped her work because he immediately snapped at her. "Type, please!"

"What's the point? You just repeat the same thing over and over again. Rebekah's out to get you. Elijah's out to get you. Is there anyone who isn't plotting your downfall? I doubt you trust your own reflection." Cami scoffed
