As he made his way into the office he sunk down into the chair.
"I just need to grab stuff from in here and let the boss know what's going on, then we can make our way to your house and ill make a nice spot in the news for you about the attack. Then after that I'll be all yours to distract." He states light-heartedly.
"How would I distract you?" You ask quizzically sitting down in a chair opposite him.
"With your pretty smile of course." He states matter-of-factly. Your face erupts into pink as what he said sinks in, just as your about to respond with your own flirtatious reply you get interrupted by a high pitch voice breaking through the flirty tension you and Jed had.
"I brought you a coffee work husband!" A tall blond woman struts in with an overwhelming amount of perfume on.
"Oh. You have a little guest with you. How... sweet." Her sharp brown eyes pierce you down, as she mutters the last parts of her sentence in a less enthusiastic voice.
"Thank you, Jill. And yes this is my friend, meet (Y/N)" He looks at the mug as she places it onto his desk.
"Why are your clothes so big?" she lets out a mocking giggle.
"You like... oh my god are you homeless? Oh, wait no I understand now. You're trying to lose weight. Well good on you I suppose, you still have a long way to go though. Obviously." She smiles wickedly as the spider in her mind spins stories of why exactly you might be wearing oversized clothes.
You scoff at her and roll your eyes looking at Jed who seems to be quite sick of the interaction already.
"Actually." You state very loudly.
"I slept over at Jed's house yesterday. Didn't have any clothes to wear since mine wear torn off so he offered me some of his own for the day." You purposely worded it in a suggestive manor considering it was quite clear she wanted to be more than just his work wife.
She frowned at the information you just gave clearly upset at the idea of you and Jed being close.
"Well, Jeddy wears it so much better, don't you?" she says turning towards Jed and placing her hand over his.
"Nah (Y/N) looks better," He pulls his hand out from under hers and looks at you with a soft gaze.
"Thanks for the coffee, Jill. I'll see you around." He states eyes not leaving yours for a moment.
She scoffs lowly marching her way out of the room and shutting the door hard behind her. The second she was out of hearing range your immediately mocked her.
"Jeddy!" You shriek in a shrill voice rolling your eyes. He coughs trying to suppress a laugh, but you see the joy in his eyes quite clearly. He takes a sip of the coffee she left for him and grimaces.
"Too weak and way to sweet." He says putting the mug down looking at it with a frown.
"Looks like her skills in the kitchen are as lousy as her face!" You say grumpily crossing your arms.
"Agreed," He whispers hoarsely.
"Wish Ghostface attacked her instead of me. I hate people like that." The words slip out from your lips before you could stop them. You frown as you tense up looking at Jed with a face full of fear, you'd basically just said you wanted Jill to be killed by Ghostface.
You expected Jed to kick you out of his office, suspecting that you were some kind of admirer of the serial killer. But to your surprise he smiled at you, his eyes seeming to deepen. A more genuine smile.
"Oh, (Y/N) ... I love it when your truly yourself." He spoke in a deep husky whisper as his dark gaze bore into yours. He seemed almost in a deep trance like state. And with the snap of a finger he snapped out of it.
