He wanders through the clouds, searching for something.

His hand barely brushing the tips of the weightless feathers in the sky.

He searches for something, not knowing what, or why.

Looking for strength inside the invincible man everyone knew.

He dances in the sky, practicing his grace to the music nobody else listens to.

He's not a hero, nor is he a god.

He's just a man that everyone knows, but everyone forgot.

He may save the day, he may do his part.

But just like the men with vulnerable bodies, he's the man with the vulnerable heart.

Oh, someone, won't you save this hero?

He dances alone, with only clouds as friends.

He'll rescue the girl and he'll answer the calls for help you send.

Always there, ready to put you back on your feet.

This wonderful hero, wearing this silly, red sheet.

He'd treat you with dignity, with love, and with feeling.

Fly with you, raise you up, and leave your heart reeling.

He could be your hero, this lonely silhouette.

He may not be perfect, but hasn't killed you yet.

He could be your saving angel, the invincible one we lean on.

A broken angel at best, but that's the best type, this orphaned son.

More beautiful than a bird, and his thoughts, louder than a plane.

He dreads the days he's alone, needing your company to keep him sane.

He may not be able to stop a speeding bullet more than once, and he can't clear buildings with just a single bound.

But, Missus Mystery Girl, it takes less than that to keep him around.

We all thought he was the strongest one of all. The man of steel, none of us expected to fall.

The day we found him lying in the dirt, first seeing him crash to his knees, the impossible: he was hurt.

His cape, the reddest of all, stained to a deep maroon.

His bravery, his strength, how much he cared.. all gone too soon.

Oh, someone, won't you save this hero?

He dances alone, with only clouds as friends.

He'll rescue the girl and he'll answer the calls for help you send.

Always there, ready to put you back on your feet.

This wonderful hero, wearing this silly, red sheet.

He needs your help, our hero needs a saviour.

Let her come forth. The one he needs, oh, how he did save her.

It's her turn, this time around.

This glorious girl in her angel gown.

Save him, they cried.

But instead, she did just this: She laid down with him.. and died.

Oh, this girl, she saved our hero.

He no longer dances alone, twirling round every bend.

She rescued his soul and gave all that she had to lend:

Her love was all she had, for she too was beat.

This pair of wonderful heroes, wrapped in that funny man's, silly red sheet.
