Something about her just draws me to her. She has stunning blue eyes that captivate me. They look stunned, but for the first time, I'm not worried that she's a fan. Deep down, something is telling me this is okay.
A smile peaks through my lips, unable to control myself as I push my sunglasses up onto my head. She's just breathtaking. It finally registers in my brain that she's with someone when I see her arm move. I glance to the girl next to her, who looks completely stunned. She recognizes me for sure, but my eyes fall back on the girl in front of me, my smile widening.
It takes her a second to find her voice, but when she does I'm even more captivated. It's so angelic and soothing. Her American accent sticks out the most, which intrigues me more. "No, I'm sorry, I wasn't looking at all." she apologizes quickly, suddenly looking frazzled as she shakes her head. "Really, this was one hundred percent my fault."
I don't know how much I just smile more, chuckling a bit under my breath at her nervous energy. It's so adorable. "Well I should have been paying attention too, to avoid bumping into you." I assure her, not wanting her to feel like she has to take the blame.
My eyes won't leave hers. They've just completely enamored me. "I'm Harry." I finally remember to introduce myself, holding my hand out for her to shake.
"Grace." she replies, putting her small hand in mine. I look down at our clasped hands when they touch, feeling this flutter deep in my stomach. My eyes meet hers again quickly, but then I remember there are other people with her. I quirk my brow up slightly as I look to her left at the man and woman standing next to her, unfortunately having to let go of her hand.
She seems to get the hint and quickly introduces them, "Oh, this is Elias, my brother, and Holly, my friend." I reach over, shaking their hands as well. "Nice to meet you both. Harry." I repeat my name, just in case they didn't hear it.
Her friend Holly definitely knows who I am, the look on her face is a dead give away. "I know." she responds, but immediately turns bright red. I chuckle softly, finding it endearing honestly. "I mean, nice to meet you too." she corrects herself, letting go of my hand.
I shake her brother's hand, who seems to not really care about who I am. My attention turns back to Grace.
Grace. What a perfect name for this beautiful girl in front of me.
Another involuntary smile escapes me as I look at her. She's just so effortlessly pretty. The more we stand, just taking each other in, the bigger my smile gets. Finally I remember the camera in my hand and look down at it, breaking the eye contact.
"Um, here you probably want this back, huh?" I say, internally cringing at my choice of words. I probably could have just handed it back without saying anything like that.
"Yeah, um, thank you for catching it. And sorry for bumping into you, again." she apologizes.
A chuckle escapes me again, finding her incessant apologizing quite cute. "Don't apologize, Grace. It was nice getting to meet you." I assure her, but I just know it won't stop her from apologizing. I kind of want to keep hearing her apologize, just because it's adorable.
She takes the camera from my hand, nodding, "It was nice meeting you too."
Back to smiling. I can't take my eyes off her. I know I'm being rude to the other two people she's with, but I just want to look at her. There's just something about her that my brain can't quite pinpoint.
"Well I'll let you guys get back to your day, er, well night." I correct, unable to find the right words in any way. I probably sound like an idiot to her honestly. I reach up, bringing my sunglasses back down over my eyes, but they still stay locked on hers.
