CHAPTER NINE, drews favorite

Start from the beginning

Not that either of us minded though. It gave us time to catch up. I told Paige all about the drama I had heard from Amaya about what was going on back at Hopkins. Then Paige tried to tell me about Drew's new "girlfriend." Ha! It was a rude awakening for her at least when I told her I already knew.

Paige stared, mouth agape. I guess it hurts to hear your brother likes your ex best friend better then you. That's though.

"What are you doing?" I asked in confusion as Paige pick her phone up. "Im calling my brother so I can know if he actually likes you more then me!" Paige explained. Is it even a question?

She's in denial.

I laughed, Opening the door to the fast food joint for Paige as she listened to the phone ring on speaker phone. "Hey Paige, you calling for Drew?" She nodded before verbally answering "yes" after realizing her father couldn't hear her movements over the phone.

"Hi Paige!" Drew said excitedly over the phone. Delilah smiled at the sound of his voice. "Hey buddy, I have a question for you."

Paige paused—trying to think of how to phrase what she was trying to ask—"Do you like Delilah more then me?"

I myself cracked a smile at the blonde across from me's bluntness. Both of us heard Drew laugh over the phone. He paused; probably to think of how to respond.

He doesn't know how to say it without hurting her feelings.

"Your my sister, Paige." Drew defended. I snorted, earning a glare from Paige. The tone of Drew's voice immediately changed as he had obviously heard and recognized the laugh in the background of the phone call. "Lilah!"

I sent Paige an "I told you so" look and grabbed the phone right out of her hand.

"Hey, bud! Glad to know you like me the most." I smiled again. Shoving this in Paige's face was truly so much fun.

Drew stuttered for a second. "I never said that." My smirk never leaving my face, I watched as Paige made some random excuse to hang up.

I snorted at her glare as she sat in silence staring at me with her eyebrows lowered and a frown on her face. She stuck her pinky finger up making me laugh. She was a literal child.

She kicked me in the leg under the table. I glared and kicked her back. We went back in forth before she said "Stop." I threw my arms up. "You started it!"

Ok, maybe we're both a bit childish.

Her eyes suddenly went cloudy as if she had left our little taco bell table and traveled to a different planet. She looked a bit nervous.

Hell what am i saying.

I know Paige's expression more then I know my own. She was very nervous. I have no idea why though.

"Can we talk about last night?" I stared at her for a second. The way she phrased that made it sound like we did something bad last night. Last time I checked it was only a conversation.

One that she ran out in the of leaving me very confused.

"What do you mean?"

Paige looked conflicted. Like as if she was debating weather to tell me why she brought last night up.

But she didn't get the chance.

Paige's phone lit up like a light as a picture of her and Aliyah flashed across the device. She was probably wondering where we went.

She picked up the phone and my suspicions were confirmed when she told the phone "yeah we'll start heading back now." Wow I'm such a good detective. The FBI should hire me.

I reached to grab my phone of the table, standing up. Crap. We forgot to get food. I had gotten distracted when we sat down to talk to drew. Ugh! I'm going to starve. I'm a DI athlete I can't starve! It's like against the rules. Linda our physician is gonna be so pissed with me.

Oh wait.

I ate like an hour ago.

Never mind.

Paige watched me as I stared down at the table. Lost in thought. I probably looked so stupid. Little did she know the importance of the thoughts my brain held. I'm actually a secret genius. True fact.

"Ready?" I shook off my thoughts that held me in place. She nodded and led the way out of the lovely Taco Bell.

"I can drive." I offered. Back in Minnesota I had a Ford Bronco. It's honestly my biggest flex.

"Hell nah. I literally taught you how to drive Lila. No way." I rolled my eyes. I wasn't that bad back then and i'm not that bad now.

I sighed loudly making Paige smile lightly. Slamming the car door I took my time bucking up. "Your literal the most dramatic person ever." Paige held eye contact for a few seconds before turning her eyes to the road.

"You drive so slow."

"At least I don't run into trees like you."

"One time."

A/n okay so what are we thinking?? First person point of view or third??
