Constant Repeat

Part 8.3

Matt and Jamie had groaned when she threw herself on top of them with drunk giggles, leaving loud kisses on their cheeks before wishing them a goodnight. She did the same to Nick who once again wished her a happy birthday and she hugged him very tightly for it.

But when she went over to Alex, she just couldn't help herself to being extra clingy and affectionate. Ella jumped on top of him, making him groan at the sudden action but it ended with them both laughing as they relished in the embrace.

Silence overcame them as she nuzzled his neck and he rubbed up and down her back. Her legs had fallen to the sides of his so if she were to sit up, she'd be straddling him. "Are you cozy?"

Ella's lips moving on his neck had him stopping his movements to grip her waist tightly. "Very much, yeah." Their eyes were closing, far too comfortable in the position they had settled in.

"Thank you for everything Al." She said sweetly, he could feel her smile on his skin.

"There's nothing you need to thank me for, darling." Alex assured, resuming his touch going up and down her back. "Did you have a good day?" He asked in a whisper.

Ella hummed, "The best."

Alex leaned back slightly to look down at her and Ella looked up at him with her bright smile. He went to leave a kiss on her forehead, and it was when Ella let her eyes fall close at the gesture that they heard Breana yell from her room, "Ella! I want my cuddles!"

Even Nick who was on the air mattress on the living room's floor chuckled, "Someone's needy." Ella said between giggles.

"Wouldn't be surprised if you wake up to Matt in the middle of you both." Alex replied, holding her tighter to him which she welcomed and went back to getting comfortable on top of him.

"I wanna see him try." Alex heard her say but it sounded muffled as she hid away in his neck.

They lost track of time as their eyes had fallen close against their wishes, it had only been a couple of minutes but to their hazy minds it well could've been twenty.

Bre whined again for Ella's company, "Eleanor! Come hereee!" startling them both awake.

"Coming!" Ella replied back but she made no effort to stand up.

Not until Nick mumbled, "Eleanor if she yells one more time I will be picking you up and taking you into your room. Or, even worse, I will let Matt get in there."

At that she picked up her head with a frown, "No, you will not Nicholas."

Nick hummed, turning around on the mattress, "Don't try me."

Reluctantly, she moved her legs so she could stand up from her place. It had been more challenging doing that when Alex hadn't wanted to let go of her. He only let his arms fall from around her waist when she left a kiss on his neck.

Looking down at Alex on the settee, she smiled and before leaving him, Ella lifted the blanket up to his chin like he was a kid which made her chuckle to herself. "Sweet dreams Alex."

"Sweet dreams, darling." Alex replied, hearing her footsteps on her way to her room.

Alex's smile stayed on his face even when he was deep in sleep.

The week Ella spent in Tennessee had been the thing she desperately needed.

Nothing compared to being held by her mom and sister as she let everything concerning Julian and the breakup out. Most importantly, nothing compared to seeing them in a time she hadn't planned, not only that week she annually spends at home for Bonnaroo Festival which she always attended with her sister and her childhood best friend, Jayne.
