"I can see in the dark, I can talk to animals, I can heal things if need be as you can see."

"That's so cool." she says and I smile. "Would you like to go for some coffee... As a thank you for saving Franklin" I watch as a blush heats up her face.

"I...um...I..."

"You don't have to say yes."

"NO... I mean. I would love to." I feel the blush rise up in my cheeks and I look away from her.

"Great, how about tonight? Even though I guess it would now be considered a school night."

"I think I can handle it." I smile and she smiles along with me.

"How's 5:30?"

"That's perfect. It gives me enough time to finish doing something and to change"

"I'll see you tonight."

"I'll see you tonight Marilyn." I walk out of the room with my heart hammering out of my chest. I don't even pay attention to where I'm walking that I bump into someone.

"I'm so sorry. I really need to pay attention to these corners." I look to see that it's the woman from before. "Sorry again Mrs. Addams."

"It's quite alright. Even I get lost going here."

"Oh I'm not lost." I say with confidence and she looks at me and she raises her eyebrow.

"I'm looking for the botany classroom."

"Oh I just came from that room, I don't mind walking back." She gives a nod and a small smile and I turn around and we start to walk to the room.

"How do you like it here Ms. Y/L/N?"

"Honestly this is my home."

"How long have you been here?"

"This will be my last year." I say I'm a little sad but I know I'm not going far.

"And your plans after this?"

"I will be working here as a teacher."

"You don't want to travel." I shake my head

"No, I already found where I belong."

"You shouldn't stay here for someone you are seeing."

"I'm sorry? I don't know what you mean but I assure you I am not staying here because I am seeing someone. And not that it's any of your business but I found my soulmate and I would not stay because of that nor should she leave here because of it." I knock and open the classroom door. "Hey Marilyn, this is Mrs. Addams. She used to go here and she is taking a stroll down memory lane." Marilyn looked up at me and I felt my heart beat faster and the heat rise to my cheeks.

"Sure, please come on in." We both walk in.

"I have to go find Larissa about something but I will see you tonight." she nods her head and I walk out of the classroom to go back to Mama's office. I knock on the door and I wait for an answer.

"Come in" I hear her say. I walk into the room and I smile as she looks up from her laptop. "What can I do for you sunshine?" I sit down in the chair.

"I had an interesting conversation with Mrs. Addams."

"What did she say to you?" She says with a bit of concern laced in her voice.

"Nothing, just how I like it here and what are my plans for after Nevermore."

"Then what's the look on your face for?"

"It's what she said after that."

"What did she say to you?" she raises her eyebrow.

"Nothing, she just implied that I shouldn't stay here because I am seeing someone. But I kind of told her that it's none of her business but if I did happen to stay here it's not because I'm dating someone." she gives a smile and she nods her head.

"I know we talked about you staying after you graduate to teach but are you sure you don't want to leave?"

"I found my home, I don't plan on leaving." she gives a wide grin and I give one back.

"Did you eat?" I pause for a moment and I shake my head no. "Go eat something please."

"Alright, I'll see you later. I am gonna be off in town for a bit around 5:30?" She raises her eyebrows.

"Does this have anything to do with a certain red-headed soulmate I'm thinking about?" A deeper shade of red must have come on my face because she starts to laugh.

"It's just coffee as a thank you for saving Franklin."

"Franklin?"

"It's a tree that was dying and I kind of healed it."

"You used your powers in front of her?" I nod my head. "Good for you. I'm proud of you. But now you really need to eat something. I know what healing does to you Sunshine, even if it's something small." I nod my head.

"I'll see you later then?" she nods her head.

"Yeah just text me when you leave and when you come back."

"Don't I always?" she nods her head and I walk out of the room to head to the kitchen to grab some food and change into a better outfit.
