ELVIRA'S POV

It was a stupid decision.

An awful one really.

I was brave but also an idiot.

All to prove a point?

All to prove to Doriana that I wasn't a coward even though she was only joking.

What was I thinking?

Doriana was sat at the other side of the room laughing her Ass off.

Doriana was my best friend of 18 years.

I arrived at this village at the age of 4 and met Doriana sometime around that point and here I was at the age of 22 dwelling on my stupidity.

"Look I know you and I secretly take the piss out of the local religion but I didn't think you'd actually send that letter"
Doriana rambled.

"You shouldn't have called me a coward you Oaf and now Miranda is going to feed me to the Lycan's"
I sighed.

"You sent the letter dumbass"
Doriana retorted.

"I suppose"
I scoffed.

"Besides she probably will never see it, respectfully your irrelevant to her"
Doriana protested.

"That's true"
I chuckled.

Yeah I mean why would the high and mighty Miranda want to read my lovely letter?

She wouldn't.

That's a good thing.

"You wrote a complaint letter, we better hope she never reads it"
Doriana shrugged.

"I mean you can tell it's a joke, right?"
I asked.

"I mean yeah but when does Mother Miranda ever joke around?"
Doriana questioned.

"I wouldn't know I've never spoke to her, just seen her at the weekly service where she does her speech"
I admitted.

I would not miss any of the services, I didn't feel like getting shunned by other Villagers however I would happily skip them if it didn't risk me being shunned.

"Where did you put the letter?"
Doriana inquired.

"The Church in front of her picture"
I informed.

"Are you stupid? Of course she's going to see it"
Doriana yelled.

I froze and thought about it.

Oh shit, oh shit.

I didn't say another word and ran out of Doriana's room to the Church.

If Miranda hasn't seen it yet I could just snatch it back and she'd never know it existed.

I got to the church and opened the door whilst out of breath.

I looked up and to my horror Miranda was reading the letter.

Well now she was staring at me blankly.

I mean I was gasping for air.

Shit I need to bow.

I bowed.

I didn't want to be on Miranda's bad side.

She's intimidating as fuck.

Miranda ignored me and got back to reading the letter.

If I walked out now it would look strange but fake praying in front of her seemed awkward as fuck.

I could be like 'hey give me that letter' but that's instantly an awful idea.

I ended up just staring at her.
