Belle Hawthorn was an angel sun-kissed by the sunset.
She was ethereal, with a gentle and graceful presence that is soothing to those around her.
She had a radiant smile that lit up any room she walked in, and her voice was soft and melodic, like the sweetest song.
She had a calming presence that inspired trust and respect, and her actions reflected her deep sense of compassion and kindness.
At the same time, however, this girl also possessed a fierce determination and an unwavering sense of purpose. She was resolute in her convictions, with a strong will that drove her to pursue her goals and stand up for what she believed in.
Growing up in south of France with her parents, Belle had always been sheltered, protected and preserved, just like the red rose in beauty and the beast.
Belle was having a decent education at Beaubatons, Academy of magic. She learned magic as well as wielding a sword, since the Hawthorn's family crest was, indeed, a sword.
Her life was extravagant, yet simple. She loved her little routine.
And now everything changed.
For her sixth year, Belle's parents decided to move back to the country they were born in,
Scotland.
Their manor there was nice, the garden was full of roses and flowers of all sorts. The library was vast, not as big as the one they had back in South of France but she could work with that.
Their accommodations wasn't the problem no.
The problem was that her parents found it it fit to betroth her to a boy she has never seen in her life.
Some pureblood traditions encouraged marriage right after magical graduation, and so her parents wished for Belle to find a husband.
Secretly, they didn't really care if James Potter wasn't the one she'd take at the end.
As long as she brings home a respectable pureblood, there would be no issue.
They did hope she'd pick him though, as they've made great plans and arrangements with the Potter family.
It'd be a shame to throw it all away now, wouldn't it?
A Great War was ahead of them. Finding allies that were just as great was important.
