“Your face is priceless,” Jacob laughed.

“Not funny,” I growled squeezing his hand.

“Hello!” Someone said jumping behind us.

I jumped and grabbed my chest, and well my stomach.

“Look, you’re holding your stomach.” My mom smiled.

I moved my hand and put them back to my sides.

“I’m Amanda, Welcome to Babies R us! I’d assume you’re the soon-to-be mother then?” She asked looking at Aunty Theresa.

“Oh, no no no!” She said chuckling, “My son’s girlfriend Is the soon-to-be mother actually,”

Amanda looked at me and flashed me a big smile, showing off her pink and blue coloured braces.

“Oh, teenage mother?”

“Problem?” I asked.

“No, No problem,” She smiled shaking her head as her blond hair moved from side to side, “I was a teenage mother myself.”

“How old are you then?” Jacob asked.

“I’m 22, my son’s now 6 years old,” Amanda said as she took her phone out and showed us a picture of her looking down holding hands with a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, “Being a teenage mom isn’t easy, but just being able to go home to my son after a good day of work is the number one thing I look forward to at the end of the day.”

I could see our moms smiling.

“Where’s his dad?”

“He left me after he found out I  was pregnant.” She sighed.

I could see Jacob looking at me but I didn’t look back at him.

“How many months along are you?”

“3.”

“Well, you and your boyfriend seem to have a close bond, I’m sure he isn’t going anywhere.” Amanda smiled, “Now, enough with the talking, let me come show you around.”

We began walking behind Amanda and Jacob took my hand again.

“I’m not going anywhere, you know that.” He whispered in my ear.

“I know,” I smiled leaning my head on his shoulder.

“Three months is a little early to be shopping,” Amanda said.

“Same thing I said,” I mumbled.

“But the earlier, the better, now you can get a first look at what you’d need for when the baby comes, such as when the baby’s born, you’ll need a crib, a car seat if you want, If you’re going to have a nursery, we have a wide selection of wallpapers and themes to accommodate the parents to be choices.”

We continued walking till she stopped.

“This here is our 0-6 months section where the items range from clothes, bottles, it’s basically new born things, which is what you should be looking at since you’re due in a couple months.”

“Thank you Amanda,” My mom smiled.

“You’re very welcome! If you need me, I’m at the front desk.”

“Alright,” We all said.

“Happy shopping.”

She gave us a smile before bouncing away.

“For someone who was a single teenage mother, she seems to be doing very well.” Aunty Theresa said as she began walking down the aisle.

My mother nodded in agreement before she began following her.
