Icy wind swirled around the merchant's boat like a tornado, obscuring the sailors' vision with a wall of frozen terror. Waves crashing against the wooden deck; the sea, a wolf and the sailors its prey. By now the sailors had lost all hope of reaching land, all that was around them was an empty blue desert in the midst of a great storm. Many sailors had already abandoned the rest of the crew when they had stopped off at an island for the night, taking the ship's lifeboats; only the captain and his most loyal crew remained. Like a spectre, a grand ship faded into view, its silhouette like a mountain of shadow. Finally, they were saved! As they steered their tattered ship towards the larger ship, the details became more profound, it wasn't just some big ship, it was a vessel of war. Maybe someone had sent the navy to rescue them. However, had the blizzard not obscured their view, they would have seen the cannons sliding out of the hidden compartment, aiming at the merchants. Their screams silenced by nature's cold embrace...

Modern Day [Tanith]
Tanith trudged alone through the thick layers of sand that had covered the area, heading to the northern beaches. However, the reason that nobody else was going there with her was that the area bordered the Dwarfic Empire. Tanith hated the dwarves with all of her existence, they were the head nation of the Mountain Alliance, and the reason for the stupid war across the land. In her eyes, dwarves were the most vile, malicious and uncivilised of the people of the continent. However, she had a way to camouflage herself with the surrounding scenery, afterall how could any member of the Invide Clan not be; they always have to deal with Dunic Raiders.
"Who's there?" A loud booming voice echoed across the vast expanse of the desert. Surprised by the noise Tanith hurled a handful of daggers that had been concealed under a dark cloak towards the source of the noise. Another loud noise came from the booming voice, but this time it was not a question, it was a grunt of pain followed by the sound of a large mass crashing onto a sand dune. Whipping out her blood-stained scythe, Tanith darted towards the thing on the other side of the sand dune.
