Frost Spirit gently glided down. The sun was setting and he wasn't allowed to fly after sunset. Despite being able to see in the dark, it still wouldn't be safe. That made the avian uneasy that he was most likely a main target.
He stretched his wings a bit before folding them back into place and headed torwards the mess hall.
Commander was in there for once, hoping to catch a glimpse of Medic and stopping her. He was afraid that he may spoil her appetite.
As he was looking for her, he almost missed Valentines Medic, Val, taking two trays with her. Commander quickly caught up to her before she could leave.
"Hey! Val, was it?" Commander asked. Val looked him up and down and sneered, "Yeah? What of it, you selfish prick!" Commander was stunned. Did he screw up that badly?
"Listen, I need to speak with Medic. I haven't seen her in a while and... could you just ask if her if she could come over some time?" Commander asked, taking off his sunglasses as he spoke.
Val scoffed, "As if! She's far better without you!" With that, the upset medic stomped away, her heels clicking.
Commander sighed and put his sunglasses back on. He wasn't that hungry anymore. Taking the defeat, he slumped his way back to his office to do paperwork.
While he did that, Val carried the two trays to the medical ward. She was still walking with her head held high and she was mumbling under her breath about her interaction with Commander.
When she reached Medic's office, she knocked on the door with her foot. Val listened closely. A bit creepy, but she needed to know if Medic was getting up.
The bed creeked and covers were moved. Then there was the sound of shuffling slippers coming closer to the door.
Val stepped back to be greeted with a messy hair, tired eyed, depressed Medic. She looked rough. Val frowned, "Girlie, we are not eating in your sad and smelly room, we are eating in the breakroom." Medic huffed but complied, shutting and locking the door behind her.
Ever since her small oopsie with Commander, Medic has been nothing but pitiful. She kept herself locked in her room, stopped taking care of herself, and especially kept away from Commander.
With her and Commander's recent absence, the camp was getting a bit disorganized. Val made sure her bestie was fed and was trying her best to cheer her up to the best of her ability.
Val blabbered about whatever while Medic stabbed at her salad. She didn't feel like eating and didn't feel like listening to whatever Val was talking about.
"Then as I was getting your food, that Commander came up to me!" Val said, disgusted. Medic perked up. She ignored the fact that Val was talking with her mouth full and listened in. She was hoping Val didn't say something stupid.
"He was asking about you, asking to see you, blah blah! I told him to basically fuck himself!" Val proudly proclaimed as she shoved a fork full of rice into her mouth. Medic felt her gut twist.
"He expects you to come to him! Selfish! I said you were so much better with him-" Val stopped as Medic slammed her hands against the table and sniffled.
Val put down her fork and got up, standing beside Medic, "Medic? You okay-" Medic got up and grabbed Val's collar, "Val! I'm not better without him! I really, really like him!"
Medic sobbed out. Val had no idea what to do. Despite being a valentines tower, she sucked at anything love related. That's why the other valentines towers shunned her. That and one other reason.
As Medic sobbed into Val, a scoff had them stopping their dramatic moment. Cyber Medic was standing in the doorway, chewing on a small pack of gummies. She got up and walked over, taller than the two of them.
"Do you think the real Medic would be doing this?" Cyber waved her hand down. Medic wiped the runny makeup from her cheeks and scrunched up her face, "What-?"
"The real Medic doesn't take shit, especially some from Commander!" Cyber reminded. "The real Medic wouldn't be moping around, hoping some dumb magical prince will come to her. The real Medic wouldn't listen to Val!"
Val growled at the last comment. Medic sniffled and wiped her face some more. Cyber was starting to have a point. "Yeah..." Medic agreed.
"The real Medic would clean herself up, march right up to Commander's office, kick down his door, and give him the biggest smooch this camp will ever see!" Cyber reminded. "Yeah!" Medic didn't even bother to register it before running off to go take a shower.
Cyber watched her leave, grinning. Looking over, she saw Val giving her the stink eye. "What I do?" she asked.
"That was suppose to be my job!" Val argued. Cyber grinned and leaned down, "Then you should of done it before I did."
Val huffed and looked away. A tap of the shoulder had her angrily turning back to Cyber. Cyber smirked, "You know, the real Val would give me a big kiss because she thinks I'm so pretty no matter what."
"Yeah? Well you're wrong! I would give you a kiss because I think you're the prettiest no matter what!" Val argued. Cyber's grin only grew wider as she leaned into Val's lips. Val's eyes fluttered close as she returned the loving gesture.
