"Oh, uhm.." He averted his attention and vision someplace else. "We've been great."

'Oh, so I wish.'

"Well that's good."

"Yep!" He popped the 'p'. "Well, while you're fixing that, I'm gonna go take a stroll. See ya!" He waved to the blonde and quickly ran out of the store before he could ask another question about you and him.

As Ace stepped out of the shop, he walked down the busy streets. He figured that he could go get a drink while he waits for his phone to be fixed.

He stopped by a small cafe. The raven entered the place and looked around. His mood slowly got sadder by the moment. This was the cafe you and he were supposed to go to-- not until you 'ditched' him, ofcourse.

Ace only sighed and walked to the counter.

"Good day, Sir! Welcome to Grandline Cafe. May I take your order?" The cashier said with a forced smile. Looks like she's almost done with this place.

"Uhm.. Possibly a caramel macchiato?" Ace wasn't really fond of this drink.

You were.

"Alrighty! Coming right up, you can go sit over there while we prepare for your drink." The girl pointed at the empty seats just by the windows.

Ace then went to the chair and sat down. He tried to fish out his phone inside his pockets, but remembered that he was getting it fixed. The raven let out a long sigh and relaxed his shoulders.

A waitress came to his table and gave him his drink. He thanked her with a small nod. The raven looked at his drink for a while before putting in the straw and took a sip.

'Too sweet.'

The taste was too much for his liking, but for you, it was perfect. He didn't know why, but everything Ace does always reminded him of you.

'Fuck, that woman got me wrapped around her finger alright..'

He took his wallet from his pocket and left the payment on the table. Ace stood up and decided to take his drink out and walk.

Just as soon as he stepped out of the cafe, the raven felt a hard nudge on his shoulder-- causing the drink to almost fall.

"Sorry." A voice spoke.

Ace felt a pang in his heart. His eyes went wide as he looked up to see a very familiar woman rushing away from him.

"(Y/N)?" He called out.

The woman didn't look back, but Ace was 100% sure that it was you. How could he not recognize the love of his life?

___

You were late. Very late.

As of now, you were running towards a restaurant. You were on the way on a date with Raisin. Although you didn't want to go, you had to.

You didn't realize that as you were rushing, you bumped into a guy.

..

"Sorry." You apologized.

'Ace.'

It was Ace. You couldn't help but let tears fall from your eyes. He called out to you but you didn't look back, you couldn't, you shouldn't.

But why? Because if you did, you were sure as hell that you'd run towards him and hug him tightly for who knows how long.

You looked back up and saw Raisin looking at his phone. Once you reached him, you greeted the male.

"L-Let's go.." You shakily said, still thinking about Ace.

___

Ace watched her as she ran much farther away from him. The raven tried his best to catch up to her but since the street was so busy, he kept getting held back.

"Fuck!" He cursed out, his fist curling up as he gritted his teeth.

All that anger immediately faded though. His eyes widened with shock as he saw you approaching another man.

'A Charlotte?' He thought to himself.

Anyone could easily identify a Charlotte just by their clothes and ridiculous hairstyles. But what really bothered him was why you were with one.

Do they know each other? Why did they meet up? Were you cheating on him? Was this guy the reason why you ditched him?

His thoughts were clouded with questions that needed answers. Since he was much too occupied from thinking, he didn't notice that the two of you left.

He stood there dumbfounded.

Ace gave a long sigh and just decided to retreat and go back. His phone should be done by now..
