He panicked and started to scream aloud in fear - "Bachao, bachao, bachao."
Radhika frowned at her husband while staring at him shouting and repeating the same phrase with eerie on his face.
"Pagal hain kya tu? Tujhe apni biwi se kaun bachayega? Aur pehli baat toh yeh, maine kiya kya aisa jo bachane aayega koi tujhe" She asked him with a big fat scowl etched on her face.
"Abey tere se nahi, tere side me jo cockroach hai us se," Aditya informed his wife and quickly rolled off the bed, standing far from the little creature which began to crawl down to scare him.
Radhika stared at the cockroach with a relaxed expression and said - "Arey kuch nahi hoga, tu itna darr mat."
"Tujhe nahi lagta hoga darr par mujhe bahut lagta hai, aur jab woh log body pe chalte haina toh itni gudgudi hoti hai," Aditya spoke with a frightful look while hyperventilating, his body sticking to the wall behind him. Radhika slapped her forehead in frustration and got up to shoo away the crawling creature.
"Zindagi barbaad kardi hai mainey." She muttered furiously under her breath while trying to make the cockroach run away but instead he started to approach the panicking Aditya, who scurried to the bed in defense, jumping above it like a monkey. Radhika shook her head in disbelief and grabbed the mini broomstick from the stand and ran it around the irritating animal.
"Jaldi kar na," Aditya said meekly.
"Dimag mat kharab kar, aise kaun darta hai ek cockroach se? Dinosaur thodi hai." Radhika rebuked her cowardly husband and finally caught the little-little creature with the broomstick, delivering him out of their room.
Aditya heaved a sigh of relief while sitting on the bed, and saw his wife putting the stick on the stand with anger visible on her visage.
"Aur koi ghum raha hai is room me toh bata de?" She asked him grumpily, and he literally scanned the entire large room to see if someone was roaming here rent-free.
"Nahi hai." He informed her happily.
"Meherbani aapki." Radhika thanked their room with a sarcastic smile and sat irately on the bed, her back resting against the pillow.
"Yaar ab darr lagta hai toh lagta hai isme chupana kya?" Aditya said with a cute smile while pouting, and his wife glared at him.
"Tujhe pata hai jab bhi movies ya serials me ladkiya cockroach aur chipkali ko dekh kar darr jati thi na tab main hasti thi zor zor se. Kyuki mujhe lagta tha they're overreacting, but aaj samjh me aaya ki mera pati bhi unki category me hi aata hai." Radhika said with a derisive smile and earned a despondent look from her husband.
He lowered his gaze to his feet and she felt bad for mocking him.
Radhika placed her palm on his cheek, trying to drag him closer to her, and Aditya stared at her with a puppy face. She cracked into a genuine sweet smile and said lovingly - "tu darte hue bada cute lagta hai, mann kar raha tha tujhe kha jau usi time."
Aditya shyly smiled at his wife's naughty compliment and told her in a playful tone - "Toh abhi kha le."
"Pura kha jaugi aaj toh main tujhe." Giggling carefree. Radhika sharply bites his shaven cheek, her hand clutching the side of his curly hair.
