"I am Kriya, the one whose wedding you arranged in February." The lady introduced herself in a hesitant tone, and Naina remembered her with a bright smile on her face. This girl was very soft-spoken and cooperative, unlike the other clients who suck the blood out of her skin while giving her the list of to-do things at their big fat wedding.
"Oh yes! Hello Mam." Naina greeted her with a sweet smile, and Sameer literally paid no attention to anything right now. He slipped the thin strap of her black top while licking her curves.
"Can you please delete the pictures of my wedding with Karam?" Kriya requested the famous wedding planner in a meek tone, and Naina frowned at such a peculiar demand.
She slightly pushed her husband away, sensing the matter was delicate and it might not be good for her to get distracted by her husband's sloppy kisses. She elevated herself, and adjusted her back body against the comfy cushion, asking - "Kyu? Kya Hua?"
Sameer sulked for a while at the interruption of someone in their US-TIME, but didn't bother his wife again and rested his head on her lap, his hand drawing hers closer to his chest to play with the shimmering engagement ring. Naina pressed her lips out of strain and heard Kriya saying in a low voice - "I...I got divorced from him."
"What?" She shrieked in utter surprise as she had seen Kriya and Karam setting perfect-beautiful couple goals at the wedding and they truthfully seemed so-in-love with each other.
"Yes, if possible please try to delete the photographs and videos from your official page and website." Kriya almost begged her with immense pain in her voice.
Naina didn't know what to say. She sat quietly and cluelessly for some time, contemplating whether to listen to the poor girl's request or become selfish. She and the entire team of Vivah-Diaries gave their best and put all their efforts into organizing the wedding of Kriya and Karam, and deleting those pictures will also mean demeaning their hard work.
"At least humara naam remove kardo sare photos se, It's my sincere request," Kriya added when she deciphered how foolish her demand was to ask the wedding planner to delete the groovy memories they made after struggling for days and nights.
"Ok sure." Naina agreed.
"Thank you so much, and if possible delete bhi kar dena." She said in a tender voice and Naina just hummed, not knowing what to say in response. She can't even ask her client the real reason for taking such a drastic and life-changing step despite dating the man of her dreams for years.
"Aap bura na mane toh kya main puch sakti hoon, kya hua hai exactly? If you want to share tabhi warna no problem." Naina gathered the courage to ask the heartbroken girl in a nervous tone.
"Bahut mess up hogaya tha sab, arguments badh gayi thi kaafi, thoughts match nahi ho rahe the in-laws se fights hoti thi, and one day. In a drunken state. He..." Kriya stopped abruptly, blinking her warm eyes hard to not let a single drop of tear fall for such an undeserving and vicious man. She cleared her burning throat and completed in a weak tone - "He slapped me and abused me, physically."
Naina's jaw touched the ground in realization and her heartbeats galloped faster in trepidation. She didn't know how to react to such devastating news.
This was too unexpected. Karam appeared to be a gentleman who knows how to respect females around him and give them equal importance.
But alas words and actions can be deceptive.
He turned out to be a monster which the delicate girl must haven't anticipated.
"Oh no," Naina said in a quivering tone, and Sameer curled his eyebrows in apprehension, staring at his wife who seemed frightened with threads of disgust and abhorrence for someone on her face.
