"Either way, we need this to stop. That Soul Stone is keeping us alive right now, but who knows what he's going to do with us!"
He motions with his head, attempting to point his way towards Spy, still attempting to pull his arm out of the painful angle he managed to put it in.
"Y'ever play telephone?" The scot asks. Dell gives Tavish a confused look before nodding. "Tell Spy he needs to shoot the crystal"
Dell nods, giving an uneasy smile before turning to Soldier on his left.
Spy grit his teeth, grunting painfully as he tried yanking his arm out. He had to twist his hand all the way, bending his elbow in such a horrible angle. None of it helped by the strange mystical chains holding him in place. He's definitely been through worse. Much worse. But if this kept on he might accidentally dislocate his shoulder. Heck, he might dislocate it if he simply pulled wrong! Just a little farther. Just a little farther and he could shoot the bastard.
He flinched as Scout leaned in, bumping him with his shoulder.
"Yikes man, ya look like you're cryin'." Scout said, barely keeping his chuckle in.
Spy gave him a look, eyes shut in anger. "I am in zhe middle of something, boy." He seethed, gasping for breath in the middle of his sentence. "What do you want."
"Demo said shoot the crystal." Scout said, quickly snapping back to where he was. Spy turned to see the man nod, motioning with his head and pointing with his eye.
Spy looked up. The wizard still had the crystal in his hand, and in a clear view of everyone to see. As long as he stayed occupied with Heavy.
He gave a tug on his arm. No budge. He strained his shoulder muscles as he tried again, something popping out of place. He gasped, trying to will himself to keep going. The look Scout had given the turn from slight mocking to serious concern.
"Woah shit, careful!" He fretted, scooching closer. The older man gave him a glare as he approached.
"YOU be careful!" He sneered. "You don't want to get caught, do you?"
"Nah, you don't either." Scout says, pushing his own elbow out to try and unwedge Spy's arm. "Don't want to end up with a dislocated shoulder, huh? Trust me, it hurts."
Spy says nothing as he turns his glaring eyes back at the wizard making sure the younger wouldn't get caught.
Finally, after a little bit of painful wedging and pushing, Spy's arm snapped free. His shoulder was throbbing, and he had to choke back a sob as the built-up pressure was finally released. With a roll of his shoulder he could reasonably assume it wasn't dislocated. Probably. Just very bent out of place for far too long.
Spy took a moment to assess the situation. For the most part his arms were still bound by the chains, but his hands were free now. All Spy had to do was aim upward. The chains restraining him were keeping his arms at such an awkward angle, bending them a bit farther back to where he couldn't simply aim the gun without twisting his arm wrong. Painful, not undoable.
His eyes were burning holes in the back of the wizard's head, slowly bringing his hand upward and pointing the gun in his general direction.
He was exhausted. Truth be told, he'd be lucky to even get a shot at Merasmus at all and have it land, let alone shoot that big glowy rock he's holding out. But if he could, just a little bit more to the left... And....
**BANG!!**
He felt his hands recoil from the shot, watching with relieved sick satisfaction as the wizard jolted back. The hand holding the crystal flew up, throwing the glowing rock high up, the strange thing landing with a little thump on the ground. With a brief glance, it appeared undamaged. Merasmus, however, was not, him clutching his now injured wrist to his chest. All at once the chains disappeared from the mercenaries' bodies, freeing them. They all sprung into action, quickly scattering and making a beeline for any weapons they could find.
