We start off as whole beings, full of life and light, But as time passes, we start to lose our sight, We become fractured and broken, little by little, Until one day we realize we're no longer invincible.

Our minds and hearts begin to fray, Like threads unravelling from a tapestry, Our thoughts and emotions in disarray, As we struggle to hold on to our sanity.

Our bodies age, our bones start to ache, Our skin no longer smooth, our hair starts to grey, We try to hide it, but it's hard to fake, The wear and tear that comes with each passing day.

Our relationships falter, our friendships fade, Our once strong bonds weaken and decay, We find ourselves alone, our hearts dismayed, Wondering how it all slipped away.

We fall apart in so many ways, Physically, mentally, emotionally, But even as we feel ourselves decaying, We can find beauty in our fragility.

For in our brokenness, we find strength, In our vulnerability, we find courage, And though we may not be whole again, We can still find peace in our wreckage.

So let us embrace our imperfections, And wear our scars with pride, For it is in our brokenness, That we find our true beauty inside.
