"Mhm."

"But what is it?" Monkey King was about to answer, but they all saw Tang shaking with eagerness and excitement. Monkey King sighed.

"Go on then." Tang beamed, before clearing his throat and pushing up his glasses.

"Hoo-hoo, okay! Ahem. Legends speak of a flame so powerful that nothing could put it out. Not even the Great Sage himself."

"That's right. The Samadhi Fire burned out of control. The only way to contain it was by splitting it into pieces, and scattering them so their flames could never be reforged." Y/N lean forward curiously, waiting to hear more, before MK interrupted.

"So, you just tossed around a bunch of fires instead of one?" Monkey King groaned at his successor.

"And we put the pieces into three rings so they cause no further harm. Come on, do I have to spell everything out?" Everyone looks at MK, who's face started to shrink, while sweat dropping. Monkey King's eye twitched, before sighing. Y/N sighed as well. Classic MK move.

"Now, that the Lady Bone Demon has the staff and your powers, she's too much for us to handle. We can't stop her, she's going to destroy... well, everything." Sandy then appeared out of nowhere, surprising all of them.

"So, find the rings, combine them, and then what? You said the Fire of Somewhatsi couldn't be controlled."

"Samadhi."

"Yes, you did say that."

"Yep, I heard him. I heard it too." Pigsy and Tang simultaneously agreed.

"Hey, if Monkey King thinks this can work, then it'll work! We can do this." MK encouraged, and Y/N nodded.

"Yea, I think we can trust him."

Monkey King turned at the two with a smile.

"Yes! That's more like it!" He ruffled both MK and Y/N's hair, before a blast fired down on the ship. A jet flyer emerges from behind it. A purple one. Y/N looked at it with wide eyes. That could only mean one thing. Macaque was here.

"The Lady Bone Demon?! How did she catch up to us already?!" Pigsy yelled, as the ship started to rock violently.

"Oh no." Monkey King groaned. Y/N tried to balance themselves, while still looking up at the purple jet. This was going to be awkward.

"Oh, Wukong!" He heard Macaque laugh, snapping him out of his thoughts. A blast was shot, making everyone jump out of the way. Y/N just managed to land on their feet, and grabbed onto the railing tightly.

"Macaque?!" MK yelled, as Monkey King planted his feet onto the dock, sliding to a stop.

"Oh, that's a relief. I thought it was someone important."

"Heh, always the comedian. Hey kiddo, hey Y/N, ya miss me?"

"No! Guys, get us outta here!" MK ordered, making Tang and Mei nod. Monkey King grabbed Y/N and pulled them behind him, blocking them from Macaque's sight. Macaque laughed, before angrily scowling.

'Well, that was a quick mood change.'

Y/N thought, before grabbing tightly onto Monkey King's robe as the ship dogged all of the shot fired.

"Monkey King, you've gotta do something!"

"So... yeah, I'd love to, but I kinda sort of used the last bit of my powers getting this." Monkey King pointed at the map. The jet quickly caught up, blasting more shots at the front of the ship. Macaque continued to fire at both of them before disappearing in the dark purple clouds. Y/N looked around as his voice echo throughout the sky.

"Hoo hoo, looking a little banged up there, Monkey King. The kids too. Looks like our old friend, the Lady Bone Demon, really did a number on you guys." Monkey King put an arm in front of Y/N, as Macaque laughed.

"So what? You're her puppet now? I mean, makes sense. You did always have a side-kick kinda vibe." Y/N looked at him incredulously, as he taunted Macaque. The jet then emerged behind the sky, swooping down in between them. They all ducked low, Monkey King pulling Y/N down with him, before the jet flew back into the sky. Monkey King's eyes widened suddenly, before quickly pushing Y/N away, before Macaque pounced on him.

They rolled onto the ground, as Y/N fell back. Y/N's left leg then exploded in pain as they landed on it weirdly. Great, and just when they thought it was getting better. They tried standing on it, and while it did hurt, they were able to somewhat stand on it. The next thing they knew he saw Monkey King being held down by Macaque's clones, and MK being held by the neck in the air. They stared in shock. They had to do something, but he didn't know what. There was nothing they could use to help around them. A shadow clone soon summoned behind them, grabbing them and holding them in place.

"The three of you are such a mess. I can't imagine why the Bone Demon wants me to bring you back." He glanced at Y/N. "Especially you, what could she want with a child." He soon turned to MK. "Look at you, you're all used up." He was about to slam MK onto the ground, when a blast was shot at him. He dodged and the blast destroyed the Shadow Monkeys holding down Monkey King. Macaque looked back and saw Mei, holding her green sword. "Interesting." She continued to blast at him, only for him to dodge every blow. He landed on the railing, as MK, Monkey King, and Y/N stood behind Mei.

"You want to get to my monkeys and gummy, you gotta go through me first!" Macaque laughed, walking along the railing.

"Ah, you must be the Dragon Girl I've heard so little about." He jumped down from the railing as he continued to slowly walk closer to them. "Little girl, you can shoot me all you want. It won't do you any good." Mei growled, but MK slid in front of her, holding a metal pipe.

"Maybe not. But hey, you want to make an omelet, sometimes you gotta break a few engines."

...

"Uh, what?"

Y/N turned over to Monkey King, who just gave them a confused shrug.

"I-I don't know. I thought it was cool. Just- whatever!" MK threw the piece of metal at Macaque, who casually dodged it.

"Whoa, didn't see that one coming." Macaque mocked, as it flew into one of the engines, which exploded, tipping the flying drone over. Macaque went flying off the ship. Y/N knew it was a bad time, but they snorted as Macaque flew off. He looked like he was trying to swim in the air. Y/N was clinging to Monkey King as he planted his feet onto the railing from the ship tipping over.

"Kid, why did you-"

"Uh, well yeah, I-I was trying to do you in the omelet story. Do the weird, impulsive Monkey King thing and escape the bad guy?"

"Well, I mean, Nezha ain't really a bad guy, but... did you forget about the part where I got really hurt?" At this point, all the engines had caught on fire.

"Hold onto your bricks, everyone!"

Sandy's voice was muffled in Y/N's ears as they stared in horror at the ocean they were falling towards. They clung onto Monkey King's robe even tighter, bracing for the moment they hit the water.
