Ashton's POV
I stormed out of the house, slamming the door shut. I heard her yelling incoherents behind me, but I ignored her swearing.
Bryanna was getting more and more of a bitch lately... it's monstrous to be in her presence. I was honestly blind to fall for her and marry her in the first place.
Being the boss of the well-famed Irwin Industries certainly didn't spare me from having a vixen as a significant other.
I hit the brakes of my new Porshe. Its engine roared ferociously like a mighty beast, almost as if it was angry for me about Brianna too.
I manouvered the fine vehicle out of the driveway, steering it to the main road, out of the fancy victorian gates.
It was a mundane daily routine for me; drive out to work; walk into the building, workers bowing at me submissively, greeting good morning- yes, it was polite of them, but the poise they use to say it is so... unnatural, like they're afraid of me just because I'm the boss.
Please, I'm human too.
That's probably why I'm constantly so isolated; I don't exactly have a wide social circle, only strictly professional ones.
"Good morning, Mr Irwin,"
My secretary, Hayley, greeted me warmly as I walked into my office.
"Mornin'," I replied gruffly, setting down on my black leather swivel chair and pinching the bridge of my nose. That's exactly how I felt everyday ever since I met Brianna: horrible.
"Mr Irwin, you have a meeting with the CEO of Styles Entreprises at 2.30pm, the representative of Sheeran Group at 4pm..."
Hayley droned on and on.
"Oh, and you have to interview the new coming interns at 12pm too,"
She added.
"Yes, I got it... I'll just do my work now,"
I sighed, picking up my fountain pen, already dreading the mountain of papers stacked on my desk due to be looked over and signed.
"Have a good day, Mr Irwin,"
Hayley smiled, retreating back to her workplace outside my private office.
"I wish,"
I mumbled under my breath. It was gonna be a long day...

Luke's POV
"Oh my god, Mikey, I'm so nervous, what if I screw up?"
I bit my fingers anxiously, confiding in my best friend.
I was applying for an internship at the well-reclaimed Irwin Industries; I was currently a business studies major at the University Of Melbourne and wished to gain experience from the company.
Apparently (and most obviously), I wasn't the only one.
There are so many applicants lining up outside the hall, all with either anxious, confident or blank faces.
Definitely going to be a big competition over the 5 places.
"Oh shut up Lukey, you know you'll get it; your brains is no match for them,"
Michael assured.
We shared a knowing grin. It was the trademark of our special friendship to tell each other that everything was going to be fine.
Michael's like a brother to me- we've been best friends for as long as I can remember, since we were 3 years old when we were still in Sydney.
We both got accepted into the University of Melbourne, me for business studies and Michael for zoology- "Just to study lions", let me quote him. They've been his favourite animal forever.
It's amazing how life can bring you so much bliss; Michael and I made a plan when we were 13 to study hard to travel to Melbourne to attend university, and heaven really granted our wish.
Dreams do come true.
I love Michael.
Brotherly way.
"Luke Hemmings?" a bespectacled, dressed smartly lady called out, reading my name of the list of applying interns.
"Good luck, bro; I'll see you later, idiot,"
Michael patted me on the back and waved at me, winking.
I inhaled a deep breath as the assistant led me to the interview room.
She double knocked on the door, before opening it for me to proceed.
"Mr Irwin will see you now," she smiled.
