"One day I will be freed of my cursed mind." Lindsey thought to herself. "Vee grows more restless and Rosebud and I can only hold her for so long. I better go to sleep.. It's one am and Izuku is probably waiting for me."
Lindsey wandered from the kitchen to her bedroom where she found Deku passed out pen and notebook in hand. She walked over to the bed and lifted the pen and notebook from his hands and quietly set them on the bedside table. She crawled into bed and turned off the light. She layed Deku's head on her chest, closed her eyes and went to sleep.
The next morning Lindsey awoke to the smell of eggs frying in the kitchen. She reached to her bedside for a hair tie and threw her hair in a messy bun. She went into the bathroom and looked into the mirror. What she saw made her freeze with terror. Her arms were covered in a ribbon of purple. It was glowing in a pulsing way. It wrapped around her fingers to her shoulders.
"Ahhhhhhh!" Lindsey screamed.
"Honey!? You alright?!" Deku called from the kitchen.
Lindsey didn't know how to respond. Was she dying? Was Vee escaping? Answers rushed through her head as she heard the bedroom door open. She leaped to her feet and slammed the bathroom door.
"Lindsey, honey? Are you ok in there?"
"I'm fine Izuku sweetie!" Lindsey stammered trying to get her bearings.
"Are you sure? You sounded pretty freaked out.." Deku said with concern in his voice.
"I'm fine really! Just finish making breakfast!"
"Tess is making breakfast.. She asked yesterday."
Lindsey was running out of ideas. If Tess was cooking he wouldn't have to leave! Then it hit her.
"Izuku, close the bedroom door please."
"Why?" Deku asked, confused.
"Just do it!" Lindsey retorted.
"Ok ok!"
Deku scrambled to close the door and waited for Lindsey to come out of the bathroom. Lindsey opened the door and stepped out of the bathroom with a towel around her arms.
"Why do you have a towel on your arms"
"Look, I will show you if you promise not to scream."
"Ok.. I won't. Just show me!"
Lindsey dropped the towel and Deku stared in shock. He stepped towards Lindsey and held her hands in his. The fear and confusion he felt swept across his face as his hand quivered.
"W-what.. happened?.." Deku asked, looking up at Lindsey who met his fearful gaze.
"I don't know.. but I'm scared too. We need to ask your mom if the kids can go over there this week."
"Ok I will give her a call." Deku said, reaching for his pocket.

"Bye kids! Have a good week!" Lindsey yelled, hands tucked in a hoodie.
"We will mom!" Tess said, closing her shadow portal behind her.
Lindsey stepped back inside and took a sigh of relief. She didn't want the kids to worry about her, especially Tess.
"She has enough on her mind and if she thinks I'm having problems she will want to help." Lindsey thought.
" Are you ready to try out your quirk Lindsey?" Deku asked as he walked in wearing a tank top and shorts.
