Drop.
The rain falls in a heavy pattern from above. Soaking through my shirt as I gaze up at the storm clouds from above. Sighing I hurry down the road, and cars race past me.
My name is Kaitlynn, I'm your average 18-year-old girl, or so I thought until today.
" Shit, I'm late !"
Racing out the door I pull on my hightops running down the street. My feet pound against the wet pavement.
Thud.
Thud.
Thud.
" I overslept againnnn!" I shout to no one in particular as I race down the street. I'm currently on my way to a nearby restaurant Ben & Jens to be exact. I'm supposed to meet up with some friends for lunch, as we arranged for weeks ago.
The restaurant coming into view I slow down to a jog.
" Katiiiiieeee!" A voice calls out.
Looking around for the source of the voice I spot Austin , a tall blonde boy with murky brown eyes and a lanky body. My face breaks into a grin.
" Austinnn!"
Taking off at full speed I launch myself at him drawing him into a deep embrace.
" Dude I missed you it's been forever!'
" No kidding" he replies with a small laugh, as we make our way into the building.
" Everyone's already here ." He whispers to me as we enter the building the doorbell ringing out with a chime.
We spot our friends immediately their loud voices and laughter echoing around the room. Grinning at their usual energy we approached the table . The dark haired girl at the end of the table upon noticing my arrival shot up and tackled me into a hug knocking me back into another table with a thud.
" Nice to see you too Brook." I hugged my long time best friend and smiled .
" Sorry I was late."
" Meh no one even noticed" she jokes with as smile we take our seats at the end of the table.
