The quaint cafe exudes a warm and cozy atmosphere that invites customers in to relax and unwind. As I step inside, the aroma of fresh coffee fills my nostrils, a sweet smell accentuated by the breeze blowing into the shop windows.

The space is decorated with a charming and comfy style, featuring wooden tables and chairs, vintage accents, and colorful artwork adorning the walls. Soft jazz music plays in the background, providing a soothing soundtrack to the relaxed vibe of the cafe.

The chatter and laughter of the customers fill the air, but the noise level never becomes overwhelming, adding to the cozy and intimate feeling of the space. As I relax into the comfort of the cafe, I can't help but feel grateful for the sanctuary it provides.

A man walks into the cafe. Heads turn and eyes follow him, drawn by his striking appearance. He moves with confidence and grace, his movements fluid and effortless.

His sharp features and chiseled jawline are accentuated by his well-groomed facial hair, while his hair is styled perfectly, framing his face in a way that makes heads turn. He's dressed in a simple yet stylish outfit, which fits his frame perfectly.

As he walks towards the counter, his piercing eyes sweep across the room, taking in his surroundings with a calm and confident gaze. He exudes an air of charm and charisma that seems to enchant everyone around him. That was my lover.

He sat opposite me and put his hand on mine.

"Hey Jack. Fancy meeting you here!" He smiled, teeth glimmering in the ambient lighting.

"Well, we did arrange this Isaac..."

"I know but whenever I come to this cafe, it reminds me of the first time we met." He chuckled. "Like a fresh start."

"Can I buy you a drink?"

"Babe, I have my own-"

At that exact moment the waiter came round to our table.

"What would you two gentlemen like?"

"A cappuccino with skim milk and a shot of vanilla syrup for me and he'll have a black coffee, a splash of almond milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top." I glanced back over to see Isaac blushing bright red.

I had spent so much time with him over the summer that I had memorised his favourite combinations of coffee and the moods in which he would have them.

As the waiter walked away with his pad and pen, Isaac turned me as if to say: 'how did you know that?'. I just grinned and stroked his leg underneath the table.

After a while we were given our drinks, placed gently on our table and we started to sip. We chattered quietly amongst ourselves about all the various events that had happened. He told me all about the wacky and wondrous stories of the office workplace while I waffled endlessly about the different patients that had perked my interest.

Being a surgeon meant I really had no time for dating but for Isaac I made exceptions. He was my one - my soulmate. I just simply couldn't let the fact go.

We walked casually down the road, engaging in a lively conversation, our voices carried through the air. I enjoyed his company. The sun beats down upon us, casting long shadows upon the pavement, and the occasional breeze provides a welcome relief from the heat.

As we walked, we noticed a few curious glances from passersby, but we paid them no mind. We were comfortable in our own skin and unapologetically in love. We talked about everything from the latest music to our future plans, and the time just flew by.

At last we arrived at our destination, my apartment. Me and Isaac only lived a couple blocks away from each other so staying over was not an unusual occurrence - but tonight was unlike any other night.
