Leah Connell / Wikipedia.
Leah Connell is a British Actress. Her first ever role was as Mia Thermopolis in 'The Princess Diaries' in 2001, when she was 19-years-old; having auditioned three separate times travelling from her English hometown to San Francisco each time with saved up money from her part-time job, she was chosen and her dedication to becoming an actress really payed off. Essentially kickstarting her career; the movie was instantly considered for a sequel which eventually came in 2004 named 'Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement'.
In 2005, she received the role of Jane Bennet in 'Pride and Prejudice' playing the older sister of Keira Knightley's 'Elizabeth'.
She has many acting jobs throughout the years, her most prolific and iconic being renowned as 'Emily' in 'The Devil Wears Prada' (2006) where she plays opposite Anne Hathaway's 'Andie'; whom also auditioned for the role as Mia Thermopolis until Leah beat her to it in 2001.
Leah Connell worked again with Meryl Streep playing 'Sophie Sheridan' in both Mamma Mia movies; 'Mamma Mia (2008)' and 'Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again' (2018), where Meryl only had a short cameo.
She has also portrayed 'Grace Shelby' in TV Series 'Peaky Blinders'.

Ultimately her Oscar-award-winning performance was as Briar Rose/Aurora in a live-action edition of the Disney Classic 'Sleeping Beauty' in 2003; when she was 21-years-old; she won the Oscar for 'Best Actress' and became the youngest ever winner of that award, beating her predecessor Marlee Matlin who won the award at age 22 in 1986.
Connell is an avid campaigner and does annual meet-and-greets with children with cancer through the organisation 'Make a Wish' - while dressed as Aurora, the movie is accessible on broadcasting service Disney+ since it's launch in 2019. 2018

Coming back home from another 'Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again' interview; Leah is returning to her NYC studio; getting her key and opening her door to the loving welcome of her Dalmatian, Freckles.

"Hey my boy" she drops down to the dog's level and scratches his spotted back that matches the black and white of the tiled floors of her maisonette that stops at the carpeted texture of the spiral dark-wood stairs.
"Let's get you something to eat" she says getting up grabbing a bowl to fill with his favourite treats, placing it on his mat, ready to be demolished.

It's just her and Freckles, really.
She has friends; don't get me wrong, but most friends are living at home in England and are either too busy to call or simply for forgetful of her, they just assume she is high and mighty due to her life as a famous actress, yet she is far from it.

Taking off her trench coat; and placing it on her coat rack, she feels a buzz in her pocket. Unusual.
Unless it's her agent, she doesn't really get calls often.

'Incoming Call' displays itself on the screen of her phone continued by 'Oscar Isaac' Accept or decline?

Accept.

"Hello?" She questions, she exchanged numbers with Oscar Isaac back in 2013 when they worked together on a small indie film they both accepted for a sense of change from the everyday type of film, filming only took 2 months yet they managed to keep in touch. There was no romantic intent with Oscar at this time, this is and has been a purely platonic friendship

"Leah! So great to hear from you, I know you might be busy so this is quick but there is an after-party for the filming of this Star Wars series 'The Mandalorian' which comes out next year, I'm not in it but I need to gather some extra support for my buddy Pedro and as many kind faces will be appreciated; this is a surprise of course. Plus, I haven't seen you it what feels like ages."

"Oscar I-"

"No if's, but's or maybe's Connell. By the way, Elvira told me to tell you that your Pilates teacher has the flu again so there's no need coming until she's better. See you there, it's Saturday at 8:30, ok? SATURDAY AT 8:30. Write that down."

"Osc-"
He hung up.
He basically talked so much to shut her up she can't say no.

Clicking her phone off, she looks back down at Freckles who looks back at her,

"Do you think I should go, huh?" She asks her dog, not really looking for a response,
but he simply looks up at her with a certain look in his eye.
