Chapter 22

Then Icky pawed at Lauren's long hair, and she picked him up and he cuddled in between Lauren and Josh. Then Anemonie jumped up, nearly scaring Bennie (who was half asleep) to death.

Tux made her slow walk around the corner, sat down and looked at us.

"Tux, we're all up here so you might as well come up too." Josh laughed at his cat.

Tux twisted her head to the side as he talked, then she came over to the couch, jumped up and curled up beside Anemonie.

Lauren laughed, and put her head on Josh's chest. Icky played with her necklace, that looked hung down her chest.

The door knob made a sound, telling us the boys were home. Nicole came into few, Matt a few minutes later.

"Aww, family picture!" Matt chimed, talking out his phone and snapping a picture. Nicole laughed.

My phone buzzed, and so did Josh's. I glared at them. "Twitter?" I asked. He smiled.

"Yup." he said.

I rolled my eyes and looked at my phone. It was a picture of the whole couch, the pets scattered around, but you couldn't see Icky. I was facing Josh, so you couldn't see my face. Josh had a huge grin though.

I realized he had posted it on the Marianas site. I laughed and retweeted it. I noticed a few people were asking where Icky was. I smiled, happy they knew us so well they knew there is three cats. 

I smiled and tweeted Oh, in the picture Matt posted, Icky is lying in between me and Josh.

Matt and them went up to their rooms, and I cuddled back into Josh.

"Can you sing me something?" Lauren asked.

Josh raised an eyebrow. "Why?" he asked.

"I'm tired and I like it when you sing." she said. He smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Then want would you like me to sing?" he asked.

"Do you know Lullabies by Alex and them?" she asked tiredly. He smiled.

"Yeah." he said. She smiled.

"I'd ask for one of your songs, but that song is really amazing. I miss Tom..." she said.

"Make it a sweet, sweet goodbye

It could be for the last time and it's not right..

"Don't let yourself get in over your head," he said.

Alone and far from home I'll find you...

Dead - Like a candle you burned out;

Spill the wax over the spaces left in place of angry words.

Lauren joined in tiredly for the next part. "Sing me to sleep,

Sing me to sleep..." she echoed.

"Sing me to sleep

(You've taken so much with you)

I'll see you in my dreams,

(But left the worst with me)

Waiting to say,

" I miss you. I'm so sorry."

I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."

Josh smiled when he saw her breathing slowed, and she was asleep. He kissed her forehead. And of course, Icky hissed, causing Bennie to growl, then attack Josh with her tongue. 

He laughed quietly, and pushed his big dog off of him. 

Sorry it's a short chapter, but I am seriously running out of ideas. You guys already know I stop a story once they're married, but I realized, my favorite part of writing a story is when I get to right that awkward stage in between meeting each other, and dating. The 'friends' zone I guess. I dunno. Anyway, voting for names is still open! Here are the names I'm considering, so you guys can now pick from these (or new ones, I'm always open to new ones). So... I still need good last names. And I mean this in a nice way, but I don't really want to use any of these names. I like finding a name that pops out and I'm like "That's a really beautiful name!" So keep sending 'em in! Remember, the clues (helpful hints) are she's Zack's best friend.
