Your intense stare made my heart feel bare

As your eyes stared into mine I felt like I was thine,
But I didn't know that the eyes that had seen me had also dreamt of someone else

I didn't know what love was until now, still not sure if I do,
I have heard that love hurts and I feel like I have reaped more than I could sow

I have cried at night, cried at how you didn't love me like her,
