Jisung' alarm shouted for him to wake up. He scrambled out of bed. 7:15am read the clock face. Jisung groaned and began making his way to the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and washed his face, then applying minimal makeup. Smacking his watermelon lip balm coated lips together, he strode to his wardrobe where he picked out a simple outfit of jeans, graphic tee and green crew neck sweater with, of course, his signature back platform converse. Jisung grabbed his bag and phone and headed out the door. He began scrolling through Tiktok with airpods in. He made is way down the street to his local coffee shop before class started and to see Seungmin or Jeongin - whom because of Jisung's consistent visits he'd become rather fond of. He met his best friend on the way. Eventually he got his phone out again and watched TikTok as Felix waffled on about his previous day.
As the door was nearing, Jisung's phone was still in his hand - not really paying much attention to Felix. He looked up to push open the door; a familiar bell ringing. He just then caught a glance at the new barista behind the counter. The mysterious barista had gorgeous, big eyes, shiny dark brown hair and a smile that could make Jisung's stomach do backflips. His phone immediately went into his back pocket. Walking towards the counter Jisung's face began heating up. "Hi, uhm, can I- Can I please get a salted caramel frappe with, uh, coffee?" Jisung never stumbles over his words, he mentally cursed that he just did. This caused his cheeks to change to a deep pink with embarrassment. "Of course, anything else?" replied a voice, a soothing, sweet voice. A voice to match his face. "I'll have a hot chocolate." replied Felix. "And the names?" After they gave them and waited Felix grabbed his drink and they went to sit down on a sofa by the window. "OH. MY. GOSH!! You're in love with the barista, aren't you?" Felix said, a little to loudly - but the barista didn't mind, for he thought it was cute that they talked about this as soon as they sat down. "Felix!! Shush... I am not in love with the barista." snapped Jisung "He's.. He's just.. yknow.. really good looking." he said blushing a very bright pink. "Haha..! You've gone bright red, Ji. It's love, believe what you want, but its love!" Felix teased him for the rest of the day about the interactions of the morning.
Once Jisung was home he flopped onto his bed and squealed in to his pillow like an excited high school girl. He tried so had to see if he saw the name tag of this new handsome face, but he couldn't. Too distracted with his gorgeous face. In disappointment to his lack of observation, he sighed, got changed and crawled into bed.
The next day Jisung made it his mission to acquire the new barista's number. Whilst getting ready he thought of all the ways to ask, maybe just straight up go "Hey, you're cute. Here's my number!" - but Jisung didn't have the confidence for that - ooorrr.. he could just wait and see if the coffee maker makes his move first. On his morning route he was half hoped Seungmin would greet him, saving his face from heating up. But to no avail, the handsome man was stood serving another customer. 'Gosh, he looks so stunning even without trying' thought Jisung. Maybe Felix was right, maybe he was in love after one encounter. The bell rang as he stepped inside. Bitter aromas of coffee filled his senses. Looking over at the counter there was customer in line ahead of him. Tapping his foot nervously, he went over the numerous ideas to get the number of the alluring barista. Once the previous customer stepped to the side, Jisung took their place. Whilst stepping forward Jisung took notice of the name tag attached to the man's apron; 'Minho' it read. "Good morning, what can I get you, pretty boy?" Minho said with a flirty smirk painted across his full lips. "Morning! Oh, and.. uhm-" Jisung bushed profoundly at the name 'pretty boy' - "I'll- I'll have an iced latte, please?" Gosh, he felt like a fool stuttering and spluttering, but it was impossible to not. "Of course, anything else?" Minho asked, taking note of how flustered and adorable the squirrel-like boy was. "No- no. Thats it. Thanks!" Jisung gave the sweetest smile he could as he swiped his card and stood waiting for his name to be called out. He then realised he forgot to give the name as he assumed the new worker forgot - he never needed to with Seungmin as he knew him. "Iced latte for Jisung?" shouted the same honey-like voice from the day prior. "Here!" Jisung said as he went over to collect the drink. "Take this too." said Minho with a mischievous wink. It was a piece of paper, folded small with a love heart on top in red pen. Inside was a phone number with a message saying "Text me ;)" - Minho beat him to it! Jisung's cheeks grew rosy again as he thanked his barista for the drink and stuffed the note in his pocket.
Later that evening Jisung decided to fish out the crumpled paper and type in the numbers. After that Jisung sat for a few minutes typing and deleting different messages to greet Minho.

Jisung was unsure if the heart was too risky or not but, Minho replied with one too. Jisung was smiling like an overjoyed child at this, unaware that Minho was too smiling ear-to-ear.
