Neteyam
Neteyam watched the girl as she led him to the tree's branch, she radiated a tranquil energy, and her eyes glimmered in the water. He could see it was from excitement, not just from the tree's light. They had been only a few feet from a branch and she let go of the boy's hand. Swimming closer Kireyi brought her own hands to the tree, caressing its silky coating. Neteyam joined her, as his hand approached, she placed her own hand over his, guiding it over the tree. He could feel his heartbeat speed up, the moment seeming so intimate.
Her hand guided his own to the longer braid on his head, his Queue. The boy took it, eyes still attached to Kireyi, she took her own braid connecting it to the tree and he followed in her steps. In a matter of seconds the water filled with songs and whispers, it echoed through and around him. Feeling more surreal than the tree back home.
The moment didn't last long, yanked from the tree Kireyi hastily tugged his arm, trying to bring him to the surface. Reality settled in as his focus was turned to his sister Kiri, she was shaking, her freckles blinking off and on.
He saw Rotxo watching Kiri unsure of what to do, "Here let me up!"
Neteyam got onto the Ilu placing his sister's head on his lap; as he gave the girl CPR, Tsireya and Kireyi took the responsibility of getting everyone ready to head back.
"Is she breathing?" Rotxo asked, staying near the girl, "Is she breathing?"
The boy gave no response, continuing CPR. Lifting his head he looked around, "I need to get her back!"
Kireyi jumped onto her Ilu, placing Tuk infront of her, "Follow me! I know a quick way," She took off, Neteyam following.
Kireyi
Safely getting Kiri into her family's pod, Kireyi informed her siblings to go get their parents. She silently stood outside with Neteyam and Lo'ak, but as a big flying object approached she inched behind Neteyam, not knowing what it was.
"It's alright...." He whispered, realizing her unease.
A few figures walked out of the odd object, Kireyi could recognize one of them as a forest Na'vi, yet he hadn't dressed like one. Her eyes trailed to the other's who approached, sky-people. Her hand reached for Neteyam's arm, unsure of how to react to them, her eyes filled with confusion- fear even. She eased as Neteyam's tail winded around her leg, he turned his head to the side, seeing the emotions written on her face.
"It's okay, they are good," Her eyes met his, fear still overruling "Mawey Kireyi, it's okay."
Her grasp tightened a little, but she nodded, trusting the boy, "Okay...." She whispered. She stayed behind him as her mother arrived. Walking into the Pod, Ronal, the villages Tsahik, looked around before turning to Neytiri. There were sky-people surrounding Kiri, strange boxes and needles being used on the girl sending small beeping noises into the air.
"It looks like I am not needed here."
"You are Tsahik!" Neytiri was stuck between a whisper and a shout.
Kireyi's mother paused, reveling the situation once more, "Get them out."
She patiently waited, yet it hadn't been long before Kiri's mother was yelling at the people, "Out! Now!" They rushed out, one yelling in a foreign language about something.
They all stood outside except Tuk and Neytiri, Kireyi's eyes were stuck on the sky-people. She leaned closer to Neteyam, chin almost resting on his shoulder, "What are they saying?" She mumbled to the boy.
His cheek moved towards her face and he was soft as he spoke, "Something about her vitals."
"Vitals?" She had never heard of that before.
