Shukkar hai zyaada nahi laggi...she whispered and peeled the cloth off his shoulder. Veer hissed in agony, the most pain he's experienced ever. Kya tha uss theer me? He asked while she inspected his wound. He watched as she squeezed her pink lips together to blow gently on the wound, and wondered what they would taste like. Bani looked away in guilt and replied Naagin ka zeher...maine socha ke koi dushman aagaya...Veer sat up slightly and arched his eyebrow. Dushman toh main hoon...cheel hoon...yeh toh tume bi pattah hai. Pehle teer se maara aur firr baadh mein bachaa bi liya...kyun? Muje kaiydi rakhne ki icha hai? Bani shook her head and laughed a bit, and Veer fell even more deeply for her when he saw the dimple on the left corner of her lips and her pearly white teeth. Bholenaath ne muje sayi aur galat logo ko pehchaane ka vardaan diya hai...jabh tumne muje mudke dekha aur maine tumaari aankhon mein aankhein daali toh muje lagga ke tum ache ho...aur yahaan kissi burra kaam karne nahi aaye. She averted her gaze because it was half a lie. Yes Bholenaath blessed her with the abilities to see people's souls for what they truly are, but when Veer turned around that's not why she saved him. She felt a strange pull towards him and deep down knew that in that instant she had given her heart to this cheel. Veer chuckled at her excuse and smiled as she rubbed the paste on his shoulder. Maine toh sunna ke naag vansh mein aana ki bauhat baddi sazza hoti hai...aur yaahan ek naagin muje patti lagaa rahi hai? Issi liye...issi liye Cheel hamesha naaginon se aagey rehte hai...Bani looked up at Veer with a hint of anger and dug her nail gently into his wound, but Veer just stared at her and smirked. Main abhi naagin nahi hoon. Kuch hi samey mein Bholenaath muje voh bi vardaan dedenge...aap...aap poore ke poore cheel ho? Veer chuckled and opened his mouth to reply but that's when he heard his horse Mirza neighing in the distance.
Bani looked at Veer's face intently and then directed her gaze to the sound. Mirza...yeh toh Mirza ki aavaaz hai...Veer said and tried to get up. Bani gasped and put her hands on his bare chest and pushed him back down. Aapki tabiyaat kharaab hai...she said anxiously. Veer shook his head and replied Mera ghoda...Mirza...main ussi ke saath tha aur voh ghum hogaya. Ussi ko dhoondte dhoondte yahaan aagaya. Bachpan se voh mere saath hai...muje uske paas jaana hai. Aggar koi naag ya naagin ne usko doond liya toh voh maardenge uss bichaare ko. She looked at Veer's eyes, rimmed with tears, and nodded her head. Fikkar math kijiye. Jabh aap so-e hue the toh maine bi uski aavaaz sunli...maine usko sayyi salaamat peyd ke saath baand diya aur paani aur khaana bi de diya...aur yaahan koi nahi aatha. Yeh mera hi jharana (waterfall) hai...aggar yahaan koi aaya toh voh humaare niyaam ke kilaaf hoga. Veer sighed and laid back down in relief that his horse was okay. Once Bani had placed a new bandage on his wound, she went over to the fire and stirred the pot which was simmering above it. Veer sat up again, curiosity getting the best of him. Abh kya karr rahi ho? He asked. Bani tossed a few plants in the pot and replied Khaana banaarahi hoon...aap bauhat kamzor hai iss samey. Veer looked at her throwing in some onions, potatoes, and cauliflower and then burst out laughing. Bani turned her face and glared at him for being so rude and then she stood up and put both hands on her hips. Yeh aur khaana? Hum cheel yeh sabh nahi khaate...maas...maas nahi hai kya? Bani opened her mouth in shock and sat back down, stirring the pot with anger now. Yaahan maas khaana manna hai. Hum shaakahaaree (vegatarian) bass khaate hai. She said with pride and confidence.
Veer managed to sit up fully now and looked out at the waterfall at the entrance of the cave. Toh yeh tumaara personal...mera matlab kudh ka gharr hai kya? Yahaan kissi aur ko aana manna hai? Voh kyun? Bani placed some soup in two bowls for him and her and sat down next to him again. Kyunke main Naag Raja ki beti hoon. Jaise meri baddi behen ko kudh ka jharana mila vaise muje...yahaan main shikaar ki abyaasa karti hoon. Jaanvaron ka shikaar nahi...balke yudh mein ladne ka. Aur yaahan kayi saare shakti shaali jarri bhoote hai...aur ussi ke bhaare mein main yaahan aakhe seekhti hoon. Ussi jharri bhoote ke zariya maine aapki jaan bachaayi. She unwrapped the dupatta around her waist, and could feel Veer's eyes looking at her brown skin every now and then. Bani fanned the soup with it and then wrapped her plump lips around the spoon to take a taste. She made sure to arch her back a bit and lean forward so he could see her cleavage, in order to tease him some more. Veer looked away from her before she would notice him checking her out and internally cursed himself for not being able to control himself down there. That was definitely a first for Veer. He never gave women the time of day, yet here he was laying out all his cards in front of a stranger, that too a naagin. Toh Raja ki beti ho? Kya bhaat hai? Raja ki beti hoke yaahan rehti ho? He asked. Bani shook her head and put his bowl of soup in his hands despite him saying he only eats meat. Main yahaan tabhi aathi hoon jabh mera ji karta hai. Tum...mera matlab aap- Veer interrupted her right away. Tum hi kehke pukaaro...acha lagta hai. Tumaara...tumaara naam kya hai?
