]Chapter 6 (Republish)[

Start from the beginning

The two surfaced after that and went back to shore, where they proceeded to learn how to use all the other gears. As the lessons continued , Aonung forgot to mention that each gear is used at different places and how advantageous it would be at its places of use, but he remembered them after the lesson,

"For a spear and net  use them at shallow places out of water cause they'll be easier to handle in air than it is in water. A crossbow is used in the water at mid and close range and if your advanced in spear use than you can use them in the waters too  either than that use them out of water," Aonung said reminding a tired Neteyam, the two were now laying  down on the sand  resting as they have just finished lessons.

Neteyam listening silently just nodded in agreement and didn't speak after, to Aonung felt unusually uncomfortable and bad that the lean Na'vi wasn't talking to him. He didn't know why he felt this way, but he either way, he'll try and make the lean Na'vi talk, thinking over which topic to bring up he finally spoke up,

" Now which weapon do you like to use?" Aonung asked.

Neteyam looked at the teal Na'vi and answered, "A bow."

"Not that, for fishing, for fishing. Which weapon? hm," replied an eager Aonung.

Neteyam thought it over and looked back at the sky. He then sat up and bought his knees to his chest, wrapping his arms around them, Aonung watched the Na'vi's movement and just laid in silence, waiting for his answer,

" A crossbow, its almost like a bow but with a gun handle but i would still say a bow will still be my favorite weapon," he answered looking ahead watching the sea and waves crashing the shore. A memory suddenly came to mind ,

" You know, when i was young, my dad taught me to use a bow, and my first catch was a fish. He and I were out on our first hunting trip by the rivers near the clan. There, he taught me how to use a bow, and then he told me where the fish would be hiding and then boom. I got my first catch, a big green fish, i remember being so happy and proud back then that when i got home i would show it off to everyone," Saying this Neteyam had a smile of fondness on his face as he recalled such a special memory.

Again a new expression, Aonung thought, every new expression that the lean Na'vi makes seemed to fascinate him and every time his chest would feel light and heavy at the same time when he witnesses them. Although he felt such things, he also felt the Na'vi homesickness as he spoke. Again, he didn't know why, but he felt the need to calm the Na'vi's homesickness, so he spoke out,

"Ok, enough of that. How about we make a bet?"

"A bet? ok," Neteyam said. He also felt the need to push this emotion away, so he accepted the challenge.

"ok, the challenge is we go out to the swallow with our backs facing each other, then we will fish using a spear who ever catches a bigger fish wins, and we only fish once.  If you win, I'll grant two wishes, but if i win, I'll get to call you Forest Boy and a wish," explained Aonung.

Neteyam stood up in a hurry, determined to win because one he liked competition and he would always like winning, second he'll finally get to eradicate that insult of a nickname. They went to the swallows and deeper till the water reached their waist. with their backs facing each other, Aonung dunked his head underwater to call the fishes, and a school of them came by. He slowly resurfaced, not scaring them away, and did a count down for them to begin their bet.

Soon, two splashes were heard. It seemed like the two threw their spears at the same time and also caught their respective fishes at the same time,

" On three. One, two, three," both Na'vis turned around, reveal their catch. It turns out Neteyam caught a bigger fish, and he laughed, Aonung seeing this laughed as well. After calming from the laughter, Neteyam spoke,

"Well, it seems like i win, and you lose, Now promise to Eywa," said Neteyam. Hearing this, Aonung placed both hands on his chest and dramatically replied,

" I, Aonung Son of Tonowari, promise to Eywa that would stop calling Neteyam and only Neteyam forest boy,"

Neteyam laughed at the dramatic performance and also started admiring the teal Na'vi's eyes. He realized that when Aonung  becomes playful, the irises seem to become more vibrant in colour, and he eyes would have small smiling wrinkles. On the other hand, Aonung  also started to admire Neteyams smiling face, his eyes would curve up, and his  that he laughed, sounding so good to his ears for some reason. At this moment, it seemed that both Na'vi seemed to realize what they felt to each other. Their laughter slowly died down, and they just stared at each other, smiling.

Unknown to them from a distance, Tuk heard their laughter and came to join in on the fun, but seeing that they were distracted, she decided to launch an underwater sneak attack instead. the youngest held her breath and rode her Ilu to the boys. As she got close, the boys were still distracted, and then she jumped out with her Ilu screaming playfully. The distracted boys jumped away in fright, screaming too.  Seeing the reaction, Tuk laughed at the two,

"Tuk!" the boys yelled in unison, realizing that it was just Tuk and not some big scary creature who gave them a fright. Remembering their sudden reaction, the two joined on the laughter with that the youngsters went on to play the whole day and take their catches back home to their families.
