You, Tsireya and Ao'nung jumped into the water first, the Sully's followed close.

"Okay," you say as your Ilu swims beside you, "this is an Ilu" you look up to Neteyam.
"What's her name?" he asked as he raised his hand up to pet it.
"His," you look at the creature, "name is Aolé" you smile.
"Nice to meet you, Aolé" Neteyam said, "So how do you ride one?"
"You sit here," you point to the creatures back, "hold here," you point to where you're supposed to hold, "and importantly you make a Tsaheylu, a bond"
He looked at you and smirked, "I'm a visual learner, remember?"
You lightly shake your head side to side while chuckling.
You then jump up onto Aolé's back and make a Tsaheylu. Opening your eyes you pet your Ilu.
"You hold here" you show him while putting your hand in the correct spot.
"You sit like this," he looked at your body, "but once you go underwater, you sit like this." You move your body to the proper position.
"Understood?" you ask as you meet his eye.
"Yes mom" he smiled slightly.
You smirked as you got off and stopped making the bond.
"Your turn, Netty" you say.
He rolled his eyes playfully and jumped up on Aolé's back.
"Make a Tsaheylu" you reminded, as you hold Aolé so he doesn't swim away.
Neteyam nods and he grabs his queue and connects it with Aolé's.
He closes his eyes.
"Feel his breathing," you say just above a whisper, "Feel his power. Feel the water."
He opened his eyes and looked down at you.
"You ready?" you ask.
"I can't believe your seventeen" he utters.
"What? Am I too old for you?" you comment.
"No but luckily for you, I'm into older woman-"
You let go of Aolé, and he speeds through the water.
Holy shit.
You couldn't stop the smile that formed on your face.
Neteyam was actually on Aolé for longer than you expected but once he dove underwater you saw him let go. Neteyam swam to the surface, "Thats was not cool!" he yelled to you.
You just laughed and called for Aolé. He came to you and you got on him, making the bond at the same time.
Aolé swam towards Neteyam by your command.
"That was not cool" he remarked again as you held your hand out for him to grab.
"I heard you the first time" you smile, "Here sit in the front." you tell him.
He did and you wrapped your left hand against his left wrist. You made him lean to the right as you leaned forward to make it easier for you to explain.
"This hand," you say as you look at him, "will always be holding on." You place it in the correct spot.
You then use your same hand to break the bond between you and Aolé.
"Make the bond." you say calmly. Neteyam followed your instructions.
"Good." you praised.
You move back, so you aren't leaning forward anymore. "Now you are in charge." you say.
"I like the sound of that," he smirked.
"Remember to breathe the way I taught you Netty," you remark as you place your left hand on his stomach and your right hand on his chest, "breath through here." you reminded.
He took a deep breath and nodded.
You moved your hands and wrapped it around his torso.
The Ilu started moving.
