Let's take it back, back before the dice and devil knew they loved each other. Before the devil even knew he could love. When he blamed the dice for the warm feeling and weakness he felt when he was around, thinking it was some cruel joke. Back when the dish brothers almost ruined everything.

King Dice, the devil's right hand man, was regressed to nothing after he lost what should have been the easiest fight of his life. A fight against two teenagers, who looked like they couldn't hurt a fly had fought him and won. So as he trudged through the casino doors holding his right arm to stop the bleeding from a wound he received.
The casino reeked of sulfur and alcohol, and was weirdly empty. The once busy casino didn't have a single soul in it not even a worker. The only sign of a person was even in the establishment was a single light on at the back of the casino, in the devil's office. Dice froze staring at the door, he knew he would have to face his boss at some point and it wouldn't be pretty but he also knew he would be better off going after he patched up the still bleeding wound on his arm.
So he trudged up to a small room the casino had to patch the workers up since fights were so common. Dice grabbing some bandages he patched himself up wincing anytime he touched the wound or the area surround.
He then looked at the door way with a sigh, he could put it off no longer no matter how much he wished he could. He walks slow as thoughts raced through his mind of what the devil would do to him for losing him not only the two dish brothers souls but the souls of all the debtors. Him being sent to hell would be a merciful act compared to what he knows and has seen the devil do. As he reached the doorway to the room a rough deep voice spoke, "oh so the no good Lackey finally arrives took you long enough. " He froze as the devil came into view sitting at his desk, cigar in mouth which was producing a think black smoke. His horns looking sharper then normal, his eyes having a harsher stare behind them, and his voice having more venom then normal. "I am deeply sorry sir, I had to patch wound after I umm" he paused thinking over his words but before he can speak the devil is talking again, " before you lost to teenagers failing me and losing me all of the debtors and those cups souls you mean " the devil said only getting a soft and nervous nod from dice. "So dice what do you think I'm going to do to you. Cause whatever it is I can guarantee I plan to do much much worse" a dark grin spread across the devil's face, though did he actually mean it would he actually hurt the dice well that is something not even the devil himself knew. Dice just stared for a second,"...i don't know sir, possibly torture me like those damned below" was all dice managed to get out cause honestly he didn't know what the devil planned and that made things even worse. The devil grinned,"well you are right I do plan to torture you... But nothing like those below no no dice I will strip your status until you can prove yourself useful to me once again. No casino manager, no being the right hand man. No just a simple card dealer until I say otherwise. ", " WAIT WHAT"dice ending yelling even know he didn't mean to, he just wasn't expecting that
