The boyfriend that Rylee was with throughout the book was just a tool, she didn't like him.I think the only character I didn't like was George.He was way too sneaky and there were so many plot lines in this book.
Some things were important to the plot, other things were just boring.
At first I didn't even understand the name "The Company."
It didn't make sense to me until I found out that was the name of the company George worked for.
I thought some of the events were just to make the book more exciting.
The flashbacks to the past were very weird and they just felt like filler.
But, overall, I did enjoy this book.I enjoyed learning about the time period.
It was interesting to read about how the phone really was.I wouldn't suggest reading this book to anyone under the age of 12 because of the descriptions of sex and violence.
When Megan's husband has a huge fight with his father in law and then shoots his wife and daughter, it turns Megan's life upside down.Now, Megan must prove to the authorities that her husband didn't commit murder.
In the process, Megan learns a lot about herself and her husband.She also learns that her children really need her to be strong.
The Interview: Who or What inspired you to write this book? I started writing this book on August 14th, 2012.The inspiration came after my first son was born.He was two weeks early and he was jaundiced.He had to stay in the hospital for five days while he was treated for jaundice.
During that time I would spend most of the day in the room with him so I had the time to think about my life.
After thinking about it, I decided to make a book for my family members about our family.
That is when I decided to write a book about a mother and a father that had three children.
However, I had no idea how the book would turn out.It just seemed right so I went with it.
Did you have any idea what you wanted to do with your book when you first started writing?When I was first writing it I wanted to put a lot of twists in it.
I figured that if it was easy to figure out, then a lot of people wouldn't want to read it.
Do you have any plans for any other books in this series?
I have no plans for another book but I'm sure that I will write one.
Since I love writing so much I would probably continue with it for a long time.Any advice for other writers?Just keep writing.It doesn't matter what kind of writing it is.If you want to write a book, start writing.Some writers want to write a short story or a movie script.I want to write a book.When it is finished, I will go on to write another one.Like I said before, I have no plans for any other books.Somehow your book ended up on the Gifford School District's banned books list.
Does this bother you?
It doesn't bother me at all.I wrote the book to be enjoyable for people of all ages.Many parents read my book and they say that their children loved it.It is nothing but a teaching tool to help children with their learning.Most of my readers are adults that enjoyed the book.My book is written in a fantasy world so there isn't anything in it that is harmful.
The school district does not say that the book is bad.They just decided to ban it because there are teachers in the district who are Christians.They believe that the book promotes the idea of lesbianism.
Do you think the district has the right to ban the book?I do not think they have the right to ban my book.
I wrote it for my children and I have nothing against anyone that has homosexual beliefs.I was taught that everyone is a unique individual.Do you see this as a problem with this book or a problem with a school district that bans books?
I see the problem with the school district.The banning of books is a way to control the minds of the students.It is sad to say but some of these students do not think for themselves.
They believe whatever their teachers tell them.I thought it was interesting that the school district tried to block an alternative journal from being published.
