The mother nervously rubbed her temples and awkwardly smiled even more.
"Sorry, can't get the hang of it. You know how our old brains work by now."
Lalita looked back at her with a 'seriously' face and waited for her to continue what she wanted to ask next.
"Ok, so. Um, Y/N, you're best friends with her right?"
Lalita nodded.
"So, I wanted to know what you think of her and how things are going between you two. And perhaps, how things are going between her and Diego."
Lalita was surprised at the question but reluctantly answered.
"Well, she's a very nice and cute girl. She's very kind and considerate. She's also very badass and knows how to defend herself and others!"
Lalita exclaimed as she sprang up from enthusiasm.
"Wow. I've never heard of a girl that can fight!"
Lalita's mom commented.
"Me either!"
Her father agreed.
Lalita sat back down and smiled genuinely.
"I know. She's really amazing. Also, everything is going okay with us two, being best friends, but things are a little more heated between her and Diego."
Lalita smirked and looked at her mom. The parents nervously sweat and stuttered a little with their words.
"W - what do you mean, "h - heated?"
Lalita's mom stuttered out. Lalita giggled and held her chin with her hand in thought.
"They seem to get along well and from the side they look like a couple. Also, they act very sweetly and kindly to each other, I feel like things will go better between those two than me and Diego."
The mother continued smiling and asked her once more.
"Oh really? Does she have a crush on him?"
Lalita swayed her head.
"Probably no. She told me she was once used by a guy to achieve his own goals through her love. She doesn't trust guys anymore and says she doesn't plan on dating either. Moreover having a crush."
The parents sighed in relief and looked calmly at Lalita now.
"I have a question this time!"
Lalita's dad budged in.
"Has she seemed to get close with any other guys except for Diego?"
Lalita widened her eyes and stood up, pointing a finger at him angerly.
"Father! How dare you bulge in her own personal life! That's rude!"
Katherina stood up and held her daughter by her shoulders.
"Lalita forgive him. He didn't mean it. But we're both pretty interested you know."
She fell back down on the couch and waited for her mom to sit back down before she could continue.
"She got close before with Emilio, Teo, Mcgray and-"
She paused a little, not wanting to say those bitter words that bothered her soul in devastation so much.
"And?"
Both her parents asked her at the same time.
"And Zorro."
She pried out of herself. The parents looked at each other with glowing faces of joy.
"She had her own moments with Zorro, and he saved her from drowning a week ago."
