Chapter One

Hey,

My name is Marianna Aaliyah Jones but everyone calls me Chi Chi. I'm 25 years old and I am from Miami Florida, born and raised. As trick daddy would say "born and raised in the county of dade" lol. My dad is from the Bahamas and is of Jamaican descent. My mom is Cuban. I'm 5'4, I have 10 tattoos, and 8 piercings. I sing, rap, write songs, and dance. I also own a lounge on south beach. I have three older siblings. Markell, Marquis, and Marlene. Markell is the oldest out of all of us, he practically raised us. Our mom died in a really bad car accident when we were younger. None of us really healed from that. As for my dad, he pops up from time to time to check on us. I won't say he abandoned us completely but he did shut us out and stopped taking care of us once he became an alcoholic. He hasn't been the same since my mom died. He never looks us in the face because we remind him of our mom. My siblings and I have always been each others rock ever since. I also have two best friends, Inez and Karter. They are both siblings, I've been best friends with them since we were born, our moms were best friends since elementary school. Both of my brothers are always in the streets, they work for the most dangerous man in Miami. His name is Duke. Our dad used to be boss of Duke but as soon as he became a drunk he left Duke in charge. My dad trusts Duke with his life. I never told anyone, not even my siblings or my best friends that I dated Duke for a while. He wasn't so bad. He's 28. He's very caring, humble, handsome and romantic. You wouldn't expect that out of a very notorious drug dealer. He didn't scare me. He's tall, with a caramel complexion, tatted up, dimples and a low boy haircut. We stopped dating because of him cheating on me one night. Which I never expected to happen because he was always talking about how loyalty is so important to him.

*Flashback*

Me: ugh!! I don't know what to wear tonight!! This is so frustrating. (Looks over to my best friend ignoring everything I'm saying)

I snap my fingers in front of her face while she was on her phone.

Me: Helloooooo! Are you listening to me?!

Inez: Yeah, Yeah girl I hear you. (Still looking at her phone)

Me: Mhm since your listening, what did I just say?

Inez: Uhhh, you said something about your hair right?

Me: Wronggg! I said I don't know what to wear tonight! Come on nez you gotta help me pick out an outfit. I wanna look sexy for the club. Especially when I dance. And I'm seeing someone important I said while blushing.

Inez: Oooohhh, someone important? Like who??

Me: (laughs) Girl don't worry about it! You'll see him at the club tonight. But anyways, so I have two options. This army green off shoulder crop top with my dark wash micro mini jean skirt and my army green heels or This black fish net bodysuit with my camouflage pants and black heels

Inez: Hmmm, how are you doing your hair?

Me: I was thinking for the first outfit option, a part in the middle with crimps . And for the second outfit i was thinking a side part with curls

Inez: I say go with the first outfit, it definitely gives "it girl".

Me: Okay bet, I'm gonna go shower and get ready
