Chapter 5

Shut up Lara!! This guy's a player, just like you. And the player rule book says 'No playing another Player!!! Got that Lara!!??

He walks toward me and pushes me up against the pool wall. I run a finger down his eight pack and he watches my finger. I bite my lip.

He's falling for you Lara. Go for it.

"I'm falling for you." Ash says, I'm shocked and my finger stops. He holds my hand against his chest. I could stay like that forever.

"No you're not." I whisper. "You just want to play me. Like I want to play every hot guy in the school. I am even teaching people ho-"

"You don't want to play me." Ash whispers, and begins kissing my neck. A small shiver of delight crawls up my spine. I wrap my arms around his neck and whisper in his ear.

"Friends-"

"With benefits." Ash finishes off my sentence. I smile.

"Friends with benefits, but no one can know." Ash smiles. He leans in nd brushes his lips against mine. "No feelings." "No hurt." "Perfect." Ash steps back and smiles. I splash him and he splashes me back. Soon we are having a splash war, I am winning. I get out of the pool.

"Benefits." Ash says, evilly. I smile.

Lara, you know you don't want this.

Friday night.

The door bell rings and I run down to the front door and answer it.

"Mia!" I laugh and see the gorgeous girl standing on the footpath, wallet in one hand, phone and keys in the other.

"Let's go!" She says, pointing to her car. "Where?!" I reply, confusion flooding my voice. "Shopping! Duh!" Mia says, grabbing my arm.

"Let me just grab my wallet." I say as Mia releases my arm. I race up stairs and am cornered by Ash.

"Babe, we need to stop crashing into each other like this!" He says, smiling playfully.

"Well if you didn't do it on purpose then we wouldn't." I smile, pushing him off me. I grab my wallet of my bed side table and run back don to Mia.

"What took you so long?" Mia says as we leap into her red mustang.

"Couldn't find my wallet." I say, peering out the window.

The mall was huge! I ended up buying a tight black dress that went half way down my thigh, a pair of knee high boots and a pair of sparkly diamante earrings. Mia got a flowing red dress that was just above the knee, a pair of ankle boots and an arm bangle. I straightened Mia'a long copper lock and put it in a clip on the back of her head, strands of hair here and there hanging out. And I curled my hair and had it half up but Mia thought that was 'boring' and not 'sexy' enough so she put it half up in a weird bun thingy , with bangs at the front, had a glittery hair band and a little flower which was perched next to the bun on the left. I look at us in the mirror, clothed, make-up and hair and nails done.

"We look hot!" Mia blurts out.

"Not bad." I smile, "let's go." I pull out an old crappy phone and put my Sim card in it.

"Why are you doing that?" Mia asks, confusion flooding her voice like a title wave.

"So if I lose it I don't need to be worried." I say, passing her another old crappy phone.

"Here, use this one." I smile, practically begging her to take it in the smile.

"Nah, I don't carry around my phone much." Mia replies pushing the phone back to me. I know that I look confused but Mia ignores that and heads out the door of my room.
