We fear the darkness, for there lies uncertainties. We fear the path without luminescence because of the eerie feelings that's brought about by the dark. Coldness running from the toes up to the spine. Cold, damp air brushing back and forth against the back of the neck. Pounding heart, dripping sweat, and uneven breaths. Darkness brings shivers that we long despised.
What horrors creep in the unlit streets of the night? With the beaming moon and cold breeze that breaks the silence, what's there to fear?
Whispers chime in the ears, of the supernatural stories of the past. A lady in a bloody white cloth, floating inches above the icy ground. A gigantic man peering from a branch of an enormous tree in the backyard, smoke escaping from its mouth and nose. Small alarming voices inside the lump on the ground. Stories of creatures prowling in the dark, yet stories of fantasies and fictions. What's there to fear?
What's there to shed a tear when walking through the dark with all these thoughts floating in the mind? Is it weakness to shiver for what's beyond the lit dimension? Who do we blame for the sobs and wails we let loose when we wake up in the middle of the night?
These are the mysteries that forces us succumb to the light. The questions that we carry in our sleeps at night. The uncertainties that the darkness bears. Yet another question lies at the tip of our tongues. Are the stories that we heard, the things we see, feel and hear,... IMAGINATION, or REALITY?
