escape the maze

chapter 1

3rd person:

Two boys slept and a dog slept near a dark haired boy, a Chocolate Labrador with a collar that read 'Sable' a blonde haired boy snored lightly underneath the twilight that blanketed the sky. Stars freckled the sky with the moon sitting next to them. Another person slept in a hammock, their arm hung out. And other people, around 70 other people slept in a homestead. Faint, clicking and groaning came from the walls around the field.

???'s pov:

I screamed. Crying and sweating I was being seemingly dropped or going up faster than I could imagine. A box, similar to an elevator held me in. I couldn't stand up at all. I closed my eyes, acting to be asleep. I about hurled my guts out but I shouldn't.  I couldn't. I would be trapped in here with the acidic liquid, and a putrid smell. Before I could tell, I saw the bright, blinding light of what I assumed was the sun hurt my eyes. Then I saw, around 80 people, boys and girls of all races, ages, heights. But the first one to catch my attention was a tall, maybe 6'3 boy, with dark brown or sun bleached black dyed hair with blonde roots and seemingly deathly pale skin. He wore a dirty shirt that looked like it was originally a dusk red, yet it was lined with dirt, dust and it was ripped in a few places, around his collar bone. Then a blonde boy walked next to him. "Aye, first of the month! On time to!" The blonde boy said, his voice surprised me, it was deep but not dark. It was light, a light like the sun at sunrise or sun fall. "As usual.. supplies should be what... Tomorrow?" The dark haired boy stated, his voice sounded strained, tired, raspy. A horrid mix of those. It sounded like he just finished sobbing but also yelling. His eyes seemingly burned a green color into mine. The blonde boy had a bright blue eye, and a dark brown one. They held down a rope and I grasped on to it.. before I could get up a group of people surrounded me, oo's and ah's filled the air until a short Asian girl came shoving through the crowd. She looked down at me. Staring. Her face had dirt on it, barely visible but still I could tell it was there from the contrast of her light complexion against the dark color of the dirt.
"A greenie?! Already! This early in the day?" The girl said, she looked sweaty and exhausted. I stood up properly, the two boys I saw before towered over me. The dark haired boy, had dark circles around his eyes, and something I didn't notice on his outfit before. A vest, with a pack of water, food, and other stuff like that. "EVERYONE LEAVE." The dark haired boy shouted, and everyone scrambled. Except for the blonde boy and the girl. "Luka back to the cooking." She nodded, running off to a building. "hey greenie!" The dark haired boy said, holding his hand out for me to shake it. I grabbed it and he held hard and shook my hand. Letting go after about a second. "this is Alex! He's in charge when I'm in the maze!" The same boy smiled. Who I assumed Alex was spoke "that's Jack, he was here before me.. that's why I'm second in command." I nodded. "Well Alex, give her a tour I gotta run, Bo is waiting!" Jack said before running off, his vest jingling.
