Chapter 1

Rihanna's POV:
Today is my first day back to work in a week. I'm hoping there will be some good surgeries I can steal! I'm currently the Head of Neuro Surgery at West Point Hospital, so getting a few surgeries won't be too hard. It's currently 5 am and I'm laying next to my beautiful girlfriend. We've been together for 5 years and about 11 months. I love Maya so much, I plan to propose to her on Christmas this year. It's currently March and I don't have a ring so I guess I have to add that to my to-do list this year. "Good morning baby" I say, Maya just groans at me and try's to sleep more. "Babes you need to get up, you have to be at work in two hours!" I remind her. "Ughhhh fine, I'm up. What do you want for breakfast?" She asks. "Well I can think of something" "BABE seriously, I'm hungry as hell and you make a joke!" "I'm kidding baby, did you not sleep good last night? You're kind of grumpy" I say trying not to laugh. "No I didn't, kept getting too hot and then when I would get cold you would still all the blanket" she whines. "Alright well how about you go take a shower and i make us breakfast?" "Or you could shower with me and then we make breakfast together because I kinda don't want pancakes.. again." "I like the way you think, but if we take a shower together, we most likely will miss breakfast" I say laughing. "Fine, I'm going to take a quick shower, will you throw me some toast in the toaster?" She asks me. "Of course babes!" I replied. God she is so grumpy this morning and needy, oh well, I wouldn't want it any other way. I give Maya a kiss and tell her I'll see her downstairs.

Maya's POV:
I hate waking up at 5 am, it's now like 5:45 so I really have to go take a shower. After Rihanna kisses me, I go take a quick shower. While I'm in the shower I realize "Fuck! I have to shave!" I hate being a woman sometimes I thought to myself. I realized how loud I yelled fuck and the next thing I know Rihanna is coming into our bathroom worried thinking I hurt myself. I told her what happened and she just laughed and said, "Just save your pits, you wear pants all the time, it's not like anyone will she your legs" She has a point so I just say okay and finish up my shower. I get dressed and head downstairs to Rihanna where she is standing at the kitchen island with my Redbull because coffee does not taste good to me and my toast. While eating Rihanna just stares at me, probably because I'm eating like a two year old but I could honestly give zero fucks. It's 3 days before Thanksgiving and I'm not excited because our families will be coming here for dinner and I just don't want to deal with my family. I lost my father when I was about 4 years old so I never really got to know him but my entire family likes to make it known that he wouldn't approve of me being a lesbian. Thankfully it's just going to be my brother, sister, mother and stepfather so not too much judgement this year. I can't wait to see Anne and Christian though. They make me feel like family! I'm finally out the door at 6:15 on my way to work, I told Rihanna I love her and I'll see her tomorrow morning because I'm having to work a 24 hour shift just so I have Thanksgiving off completely. Finally arrive at work and per usual my Captain is pissed about something. Hopefully these next 24 hours go by quickly.
